I think this deck is a blast to play—it lets Quicksilver do a ton of things. I even had a turn where he dealt 46 damage to the villain. Here’s how I play it:

Top priorities

  • Friction Resistance, Hyper Perception, Reinforced Sinew: If you see them, play them. If you can’t afford them this turn, keep them in hand and drop them next turn.
  • Deft Focus: If you draw this early, it makes your setup much smoother. All four of Quicksilver’s upgrades and his key events have the Superpower trait, so this is effectively an auto-play whenever you see it.
  • Armored Vest & Accelerated Reflex: Slightly less critical than the above, but still very important for Quicksilver. If you have the resources, get them down.

Secondary pieces

  • Specialized Training: Play it when you can. It permanently boosts one basic stat by +1. I recommend +1 ATK to increase your burst turns. If you prefer thwarting, +1 THW is also solid.
  • Avengers Mansion: Mainly here to prevent a nasty Standard II treachery from forcing you to "discard your highest-cost upgrade or support you control" when you’re wearing Symbiote Suit. If that drops while you’re below 10 HP, you’re defeated. Mansion also helps your setup, so play it when you can.
  • Helicarrier: Same idea, play it if you have enough resources. If you prefer, you can swap it for Quincarrier.
  • Symbiote Suit: +1 to all stats is incredible on a hero who readies over and over, plus +1 hand size and +10 HP. The downside is revealing an extra encounter card. Before you’re set up, that extra card can be rough for Quicksilver, so don’t be afraid to pitch the Suit the first time and play it when you see it again later.
  • Electrostatic Armor: Quicksilver can ready once after defending during the villain phase. With it in play, you can also ping the emeny for 1, so don’t hesitate to defend.

After you’re set up

  • The Night Nurse: Confuse and Stun are brutal for Quicksilver since he relies on basic THW/ATK. Use Night Nurse to clear status cards as soon as they appear.
  • Energy Barrier & Forcefield Generator: These help soak damage now and later fuel Repurpose.
  • Repurpose: Discard Energy Barrier or Forcefield Generator to ready Quicksilver and gain +2~3 to a basic stat for the phase. Pair this with Always Be Running or What Doesn't Kill Me to pour on massive amount of damage to the villian! If you can stack Maximum Velocity too, you can swing at 8–9 ATK! Whenever you have a way to ready Quicksilver, don’t be shy about discarding a full-counter upgrade for Repurpose value. Double Repurpose in a turn is great—pushing ATK into double digits is very doable. If the main scheme is getting tight, buff THW instead and become a thwart machine.

Possible cuts

  • Brother Voodoo & Iron Fist: Voodoo can fetch an event and Iron Fist offers an emergency Stun, but neither is essential here, so they’re cuttable.
  • Helicarrier: Quicksilver isn’t that resource-hungry because his readies effectively act like extra resources, so this is a reasonable swap or cut.
  • Avengers Mansion: I like drawing an extra card each round because it lets Quicksilver do more. But if you’re not playing Standard II, you can cut it if you want.

Cards to consider adding

  • Other allies: Nick Fury or Ironheart for card draw, Iceman to stun minions, Multiple Man or Victor Mancha to absorb hits, or even add whichever allies you like using.
  • Counter-Punch: In ideal cases it’s 0-cost for 4 damage. Since Quicksilver defends almost every round, this is a reliable play.
  • Adrenaline Rush: Set it up ahead of time to boost your big burst turn. Similarly, if you want to focus on thwarting, Civic Duty works well.
  • Unflappable: With a fully built Quicksilver at DEF 4, against low-damage villains you can trigger this consistently and draw an extra card each round.

That’s the list! If you have suggestions, drop a comment. I hope you have as much fun with the deck as I do!
