This deck is meant to maximize the new White Widow ally in the Winter Soldier hero pack. Adam Warlock's alter ego ability allows us to grab cards from every aspect, including preparations and ally attachments. We can vultron up White Widow with Inspired, Reinforced Suit, Sidearm, and Enraged. Enraged also works well for White Widow, because she gets +2 ATK and can easily heal the extra consequential damage. Additionally, Adam Warlock can use his Battle Mage ability to discard a Protection card and heal White Widow. Command Team can ready up White Widow to get multiple uses of her boosted stats. With all the upgrades attached to her, she will have 3 THW, 5 ATK, 5 hitpoints, and can heal consistently.

Another approach you could take is to substitute some Guardian attachments and possibly swap Practiced Plan for Honorary Guardian to allow for some of the Guardian ally attachments, but it might be a bit too much set up. Also I find the other allies very useful while building up your board state; Slingshot for example is very strong and with your Karmic Staff you can consistently put her into play.

UPDATE:

Got a recommendation from the comments to use Suit Up instead of Command Team. Especially if White Widow is taking extra consequential damage from enraged, the ready may not be helpful. Suit Up, however, will help you build much faster, and even when White Widow is out can get you an upgrade for White Widow and an ally like Maria Hill that can be played separately.

@marktry Thank you! Adam Warlock is a hero I starting to grow on; its cool to apply archetypes like Preparation cards to other non-Shield heroes.

I give you extra credit for building a Warlock deck because it's such an incredible pain in the ass since I have all my aspects in 4 different boxes. I have enough trouble finding the cards from 1 aspect and basic. I want to add White Widow to my Black Widow, Ready for a fight deck. I need to update marvelcdb.com

do you not have The Sorcerer Supreme. You will get one more hand size.

@marktry I didn't have that in my collection, so I guess that's why I didn't include it. I guess it would be stronger, but trying to lean into the mechanics of the deck I wanted to use my 5 basic card slots for the 3 double resources, Practiced Plan, and Sidearm.

I love your comment about card storage--ironically this is possibly the first deck I've built on marvelcdb.com before getting the cards out of my collection. I would literally need a whole desk or table to get out all the aspects and search through to find out what I want. I just built it first on marvelcdb and then fished through my storage box to find all the cards without taking whole aspects out at a time.

I would just template it, (use another card in it's place) since it's so powerful for 6 cards in hero.

@marktry Also you'll have to tell me what you think about Black Widow and RFAF--I tried that deck and had so much fun. It makes her so much stronger--you can play that card in alter ego, draw a card, then on the villain phase trigger Ready for a Fight, flip up, defend with +1 DEF from Synth-Suit, after which you have finished resolving RFAF and you can now exhaust the Synth suit to ready your hero. Oh, and if you use Practiced Plan, you are dealing two damage to the villain as well. There are so many fun combos with that, but sadly RFAF is much less of an impact with this deck.

@marktry I like that suggestion, much better than spending $100 dollars to get Doctor Strange just for one card! :D

Loved the idea, great job! “Suit up” could help a lot in this deck.

By the way, I got the impression by reading your comments that you thought you had to include exactly 5 basic cards in the deck, due to the other aspects in the deck having five cards each. “Basic” is not an aspect, though, so the deck restriction for Adam Warlock doesn’t apply for Basic cards. You can add as many basic cards as you wish.

@Lucasumb Thank you, I guess what I meant was that if I put in another basic card and tried to keep my deck to 40 cards, I would have to remove 3 other aspect cards. I forgot that I could just add a basic card and make it a 41 card deck! From the playthroughs I've had, I like the idea of replacing Command Team with Suit Up. Especially with Enraged on White Widow, readying her up with command team might not make much sense.

Great point. I was also considering replacing Enraged with Boot Camp, to rely a bit less on her healing ability. Anyways, I really loved the idea, and I always have a blast deckbuilding for Adam and trying to find what could be the best combination of cards for each aspect.

Thanks for sharing!!
