Preface: I may refer to the term champions here. I mean this as a descriptor not the trait or the name of this beautiful card game.

As the name suggests, this deck focuses on the dual threat of Angela and Yondu. I just have to say, I recently saw the first 2 Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and ever since I've been wanting to make a Yondu deck.

Oh no! There is no Yondu hero. Is there an ally at least?! Yes! Great! Hmm 2 thwart and 1 Attack and a cost of four, not great, maybe that puts an end to this pipe dream. Out of the corner of my eye, however, I see something odd. The ATK value doesn't look right, oh wait! He doesn't take consequential damage when he attacks! Interesting... I immediately decide to voltron him, but how? Obviously I have to be in Leadership to do this, which is great given all the options. Laser Blaster is an obvious choice as it gives him overkill, and Inspired gives him 1 ATK and 1 THW, on the rare times you may need to thwart. I look to Sky Cycle, but he's not an Avenger, easily fixable with Honorary Avenger, so I need an Avenger hero. Dr. Strange became an option with his access to Summoning Spell, as I would include 3 copies of Digging Deep, this became enticing. The problem was too many upgrades, not enough time or flexibility. I then started to branch out to other aspects and I came across Energy Spear, and I immediately knew this had to be included. This made me settle on Spider Woman. I had the cards I wanted for the Leadership aspect, so it now comes down to picking the Aggression cards. This is where I'll Segway into the strategy here.

Yondu is priority number 1, but the way to get him there is best done with Call for Backup. The best hand to start out with in solo, for all of you hard mulliganer's, is with said card and Suit Up and ideally a double resource card. The Idea is to play Suit up, then switch to Hero form and play Call for Backup. The targets for Suit up are Angela and Honorary Avenger if you don't have it, Energy Spear if you do. You play Angela (for free might I add, and give Spider Woman her 2nd boost). At this point go ahead and thwart away the Call for Backup and get Yondu on the board. With just a little luck you'll have 2 powerful allies on the board in just 1 turn and Honorary Avenger preferably on Yondu. With just a little more luck you'll have Energy Spear in hand ready to play next round, and with even more you'll have it in play that round!

And thus the best possible starting hand for solo is as follows

Call for Backup Suit Up Honorary Avenger And any double resource.

The rest of the card strategy is as follows,

Get Ready for free readies.

Lock and Load to get Energy Spear (which you can attach to Angela as well) if you don't have it, or Hand Cannon if you do. The latter gives Spider Woman some extra oomph for the times she attacks.

Specialized Training to preferably get Defense Specialist as you're mainly going to defend with Spider Woman

Superpower Training to fetch Finesse as you'll need to play preferably 2 different aspect cards to defend properly.

Command Team let's you ready up, but more importantly gives you control of when.

Sky Cycle gives your allies a free activation each round, but you need to have Honorary Avenger attached. This the last of your ready options. If you play Get Ready and use Command Teamonce per round you can get 4 Yondu attacks per round at 5 attack each for 20 damage, you can keep this up for 3 rounds potentially for 60 damage with 10 damage afterwards, 6 activations for 30 total on the off chance you end up with 3 Get Ready or if you're wanting to go all out guns (arrows) blazing, 36 damage in one turn to die in a blaze of glory using Enraged. I prefer to pace myself but this is all pretty enticing.

A 2nd Energy Spear for Angela giving her 4 ATK! Just imagine, 2 elite warriors Wrecking havoc. Pretty awesome.

Enraged can give Yondu a potential 7 ATK, with the drawback of him taking consequential damage. This is mitigated by Honorary Avenger, giving him three activations for a potential 21 late game damage, that doesn't worry about tough, due to piercing, minions due to overkill via Laser Blaster, and retaliate via Yondu having ranged, an elite trifecta.

A 2nd Honorary Avenger to give Angela 4 activations.

Inspired is pretty self explanatory, but feel free to use on Angela in a pinch, as well as Enraged if she has an odd number of damage preferably.

With the amount of damage done as well as comboing off of Angela Gatekeeper becomes great as Thwarting won't be done by these allies, and you'll be blocking most of the time with Spider Woman. This lets you kind of control when you go down to alter ego to heal up, and if the villain doesn't have stalwart, hopefully they'll be confused and stunned via Pheromones giving you potentially 2 rounds of peaceful setup.

The Direct Approach can get the allies in on the side schemes.

The rest of Spider Woman's cards are a great fit. As I've said before, she'll mostly be blocking, but on the off chance you need something specific, you can stomach an attack or 2 if you have tough via Contaminant Immunity get rid of threat via Inconspicuous, or smack them around some more via Venom Blast. You also have access to some spider woman ready up's via Self-Propelled Glide.

I have yet to try this in multi-player, but I imagine the side schemes will serve a greater purpose of helping out your fellow heroes in the long run, offsetting the 1 turn side scheme defeats.

Yondu was the target but I manged to find another champion in Angela in my search.

Oh and you also have Captain Marvel a champion in her own right. Feel free to use Sky Cycle Get Ready and Command Team for some turbo draw action w/ damage or thwart.

Feel free to give me any comments or suggestions!
