This deck for Spider-Man has him defend the whole team. It builds upon SpiderMan´s good DEF of 3 and has all kind of cards to ready him after defending: Desperate Defense and Indomitable. Ideally, he should be able to defend several times during the Villain phase and not take any damage. Defending synergizes with Spider-Man´s signature ability and Unflappable. Preemptive Strike allows for more, Expert Defense for better defenses. Then there is, of course, the iconic Backflip.
For offense, there is Powerful Punch and Bait and Switch for thwarting.
This deck works great in conjunction with any other specialized deck without sufficient defenses.
