Jessica Defends For Everyone (2-4 player)

Want to block for everyone else? That's what we're going for.

But why? When Leather Jacket is out, every time you use your DEF basic power, you're picking up two evidence counters. We want to maximize our counters by defending, so we can use the Response on Alias Investigations as quickly as possible.

Don't forget to play Innate Reflexes in turn one. Then get out Leather Jacket and Specialized Training quickly, in order to get your DEF to a +5. If you're nervous about getting Leather Jacket out, feel free to run Superpower Training in place of Establish Perimeter. I'm running that for a fellow player running Luke Cage.

So how do we block for everyone? This won't work perfectly when you're player 1, due to the use of Clea (see below). But 3 out of 4 ain't bad.

When other players are attacked:

• Block with Clea on the first attack.
• Block for other players with Jessica, readying (if needed) with Breakthrough, "I Can Do This All Day", Desperate Defense, or Indomitable.
• When Jessica is attacked, ready using Stand Alone, assuming Clea is off the board. This will be the trickiest timing to deal with in the deck, determining when to ready and not ready based on player order and your hand.

If your DEF is solid, you're looking at picking up a card from Unflappable on probably any of those attacks. If damage happens to bleed over, that's why you've got Reluctant Flier in your back pocket. I may add Practiced Plan to keep that out longer in the early game.

On the player phase, you can ready Jessica to use her crazy high THW with either Breakthrough or Joys of Life with Clea. Remember that Jessica can flip from Alter-Ego and back every turn with her Alter-Ego action. Lots of fun possibilities there.

And if you're not playing with a Luke Cage player (like I am), of course you can cut Unbreakable Bond to get down to 40 cards.
