TL;DR

  • A multiplayer deck where Drax does what he does best: DESTROY

  • Let your teammate(s) handle thwarting. Flip to or stay in alter-ego when possible for healing and easier setup.

  • Boost DEF.

  • Get DWI Theet Mastery ASAP.

  • Go crazy with The Best Offense..., basic attacks, readies, and taunts for powerful turns.

  • I've done 9 basic attacks for 7 damage for a total of 63 damage in 1 turn and more should be possible based on drawing luck and setup.

Drax explains how he became The Destroyer....

Step 1: Know Your Role

Focus on your strengths. In a pinch, sure you can help with thwarting, but you're here to destroy, not thwart.

You can't destroy if you are destroyed yourself. Defend and heal when needed.

Step 2: Know Your Opponent

Observe the enemy and learn.

Watch their movements and learn how to counter them.

Find their weak spots you can exploit for your combos.

Make strategic retreats to live and come back stronger. Catch your breath and brainstorm new strategies.

  • Stay in or flip down to alter ego as much as possible to draw more cards for faster setup. Vengeance counters for healing are great for survivability. ATK does not matter as much in this build, so losing vengeance counters is not a huge deal.

Prepare for the expected and the unexpected.

Step 3: Know Your Combos... and DESTROY

Strike when you find the right opening.

  • Open most combos with The Best Offense.... When set up enough, extra copies are worth keeping in hand for next turn if it looks like another turn is needed.

  • If you happen to have full vengeance counters and Knife Leap, start with that to use the +5 ATK before The Best Offense... makes it so only DEF is counted.

Use what you've learned to attack again and again and again...

Lure them in for an attack so you can counter accordingly.

  • "Fight Me, Coward!" readies you and draws a card. At worst, you will need to exhaust to defend this, but that still gives you a vengeance counter or an extra card if those are maxed out.

  • Taunt helps turn 2 cards (Taunt itself and the resource card to play it) into 3 new cards which can help give you more options to ready and gives you a vengeance counter or an extra card if those are maxed out. If you're exhausted and have Stand Alone available, this can also ready you.

  • If you have Unflappable and Defense Specialist, you can get extra card draw for defending one of these attacks.

DESTROY

  • Destroy your opponent using everything you learned above.

Happy destroying and let me know how this works out if you try it!
