Playing as Iceman has been something of a headscratcher; both rewarding and frustrating in equal measure. Truthfully, it's probably on me for not building strong enough decks, I'd welcome input however from you, so please feel free to comment and tell me where I'm going wrong!

However, after a good few playthroughs, I hope this deck just about works nicely.

The main aim here is to get plenty of useful Upgrades and supports out, so in the end, you're recycling powerful events and the occasional ally.

To achieve something like board control, we need additional thwarting and plenty of readying options.

Let's start with some resource generation / cost reduction with X-Gene, Deft Focus, Nerves of Steel, Helicarrier and Team-Building Exercise. With his own Power Belt, this is more than enough to keep you ticking over nicely. I considered The X-Jet but unless it come out early, it's expensive and overkill, frankly.

Electrostatic Armor is in for for some retaliate, Unflappable for card draw and 2 x Hard to Ignore to give some threat removal hopefully each round when we defend well - see below.

We want to keep Iceman in hero form for as long as possible, especially with Ice Slide (it goes when you drop down) and Armored Vest, meaning a base 4 DEF so Desperate Defense and Not Today! should work effectively each time. First Aid and Triage are in to help keep you hero side up.

I did originally have a couple of Indomitable but [Desperate Defense] (/card/09015) played more consistently effective with the +2 DEF and once you're built out a bit, Cryokinetic Perception works more often than not to ready you too.

And of course, Professor X is in for some threat removal and allows you to drop down if you really need to.

And that's it; after a few tweaks and playthroughs, this is about a tight a deck as I could manage.

Comments, thoughts, constructive criticisms, all very welcomed. Thanks.
