Hulk

These attacks are making Hulk angry, and you're gonna like him when he's angry!

I am new to Marvel Champions, but I love Hulk. So I have spent the majority of my time with Marvel Champions (50+ games, according to my BGStats App) with Hulk. I have tried every aspect and I have had the most fun with protection. And, recently I got the Galaxy's Most Wanted Expansion and quickly realized that Hard to Ignore and Unflappable completely overhaul Hulk (especially considering he has very little thwart and a small hand size in his hero kit).

The Build

This build is mostly about utilizing Hulk's amazing defense (starting at 3, +1 with Armored Vest) alongside his high health (18 to start +3 with Endurance and +4 more with Immovable Object) to give you time to build out a strong board (which is made up primarily of 1 cost upgrades, so even with Hulk's tiny hand size, you can usually get 1-2 upgrades out per turn). And, while you're building that kit, you utilize 3 key allies, which keep coming back in play so that you always thwart removal or damage to deal if any difficult side schemes or minions come into play. Once your health gets low, you flip to Bruce Banner and heal for 8 damage twice (4 base +2 with Banner's Laboratory and +2 with Down Time.

Anyway, this is the first deck that I have posted here so I am open to feedback and suggestions on how to improve it. For example, I'm not sure Enhanced Physique is the best to have in this deck, but I keep it in because it is useful to convert double resources or the The Power in All of Us to punches to maximize Hulk's kits, but I could easily be convinced to swap them out for 3 Counter-Punches to add some more damage, while still having punch resources for Hulk's kit. Though when I tested Counter-Punch I ultimately found they were unecessary, as Hulk Smash is usually enough to take out the villain and minions rather quickly.

That's pretty much it. I have been having so much fun with this Hulk build! I was very disappointed when I experienced how much worse Hulk was compared to the other heroes, but have found that Hard to Ignore and Unflappable really help to offset some of those concerns in this deck and still let you experience Hulk Smash in it's full glory!
