Prologue

I wanted to make a solo Silk deck that also can be used in multiplayer and uses The Power of Flight to pay for her Swinging Silk Kick because it's aerial. Because of that we went the aerial way and added aerial events and allies to support her. There are a few different ways to do simultaneous minion damage (Rictor, Bombs Away and Dive Bomb) so Silk can go from 0 to 4 tucked cards in one attack. We can make the 'carpet bomb' even bigger with Spoiling for a Fight. There are also ways to prevent/remove the threat (Into the Fray, Wallcrawl, Outwit and Investigative Journalism). There are 8 double resource cards! so with 5 (hero) and 6/8 (alt.hero) cards in your hand you have more options per turn. I have added some thematic deckbuilding options (some comic book accurate, some made-up ;) ) in the different chapters. Enjoy!

Cleared:

  • Mutagen formula (expert) "the freaking Goblin Nation!"
  • Zola (expert)
  • ...

Chapters:

  • Chapter 1: Flying to the "Moon" and Back
  • Chapter 2: A Little Bird In The Sky
  • Chapter 3: A Storm Is Coming

Chapter 1: Flying to the "Moon" and Back

Cindy Moon is working late as a reporter for news site Threats & Menaces (run by J. Jonah Jameson). She is investigating various murder cases that have a connection with the disappearance of her family (such as her brother Albert Moon) but they all end up as a cold case (with unclear clues, motives and cover-up stories). She's getting discouraged by it and as a news reporter most people usually don't want to talk to her. But she takes matters into her own hands and puts on her self made suit to starts a more aggressive interrogation method as "SILK".

While she is Web-slinging between the buildings of New York city on patrol as a crime fighting hero and in search for information about her family, she encounters many enemies that want to stop her and put her down.

With (3x) The Power of Flight we can pay for 11 aerial targets (Cannonball, Vivian, Wasp, 3x Bombs Away, 2x Dive Bomb and 3x Swinging Silk Kick). Herself with Organic Webbing and her 3 aerial allies can be exhausted to Bombs Away the crap out of the minion hordes that come after her (and her friends).

With (2x) The Power of Aggression we have 10 aggression targets (Rictor, Spider-Woman, Wasp, 3x Bombs Away, 2x Dive Bomb and 2x Into the Fray).

Together with the 3 double resources (Energy, Genius and Strength) we have 8 double resources to pay for cards that are both aerial and aggression.

I like the Wasp ally in this deck because:

  1. She's Aggression (The Power of Aggression is a double wild "energy" resource)
  2. She's Aerial (The Power of Flight is a double energy resource)
  3. She uses Energy resources (and we got alot of energy in this deck)
  4. She can be exhausted for Bombs Away without taking damage
  5. She does 3 damage!

When the villain gets the upperhand because Silk Sense Overload comes out at the worst time, we can always count on our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to save the day. His readies are just to good to be true. Even het hard resource requirement does pay off. First I had Across the Spider-Verse into decklist to get him easier in play. But with only 3 Web-Warriors in it's just to situational and I don't want to make the deck to big. When Peter and Cindy are not in there hero suit they can use there Investigative Journalism skills to suprise the villain undercover and confuse him/her and stop their current thwart shenanigans.

As a S.H.I.E.L.D. specialist and Web-Warrior veteran Jessica Drew, AKA Spider-Woman is a great mentor for Cindy and Peni, AKA SP//dr. Whenever they are in trouble they can count on each other.

1 ATK + 2 THW (+ 1DMG + 1Card Draw) + possible resource in hand every 2 turns is just a great loop to support or Aerial-Warriors. To make it al even better we have Team-Building Exercise that has 13 targets (2 Web-Warrior + 11 Aerial) and Ingenuity. I didn't add Moon Girl because most mental resource cards in the deck I want to play and don't want to use them as a resource.

Early gameplay

Nice to have early:

Priority cards:

Second priority (used as resource or when I can pay for it and have nothing els to do):

Chapter 2: A Little Bird In The Sky

Remove:

Add:

Intro:

When Peter is out of town to deal with urgent matters for his company "Parker Industries", Cindy allies with S.H.I.E.L.D. and works for scientist and spy Bobbi Morse, AKA Mockingbird. She goes on different missions to help her, in exchange S.H.I.E.L.D. will help Cindy get more information on her family’s whereabouts.

Gameplay:

Put Lock and Load in play en leave it there. You can use it to get your Spider Claws faster in play or when they are already in play you can find S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm and attach it to one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. ladies Mockingbird or Spider-Woman. To use the arm again you can fish it back from the discard pile with Deathlok or vice versa.

Chapter 3: A Storm Is Coming

Remove:

Add:

Intro:

Silk has a day off and calls Professor X for some support :)

Gameplay:

We are going full aerial mode. Storm is expensive but with 3x The Power of Flight, the standard double resource cards, Team-Building Exercise, Ingenuity and a 8 card hand in alter-ego form we can get her in play quite easy. She is a great thwarter and with Get the Scoop in play we can dump threat on it without clearing it. Soaring Acrobatics is the icing on the cake. You can use it on yourself when Silk is in aerial mode or on your allies. Professor X is just a great card mostly used for his confuse but with Storm in play readying her is not so bad. Snowguard is just a great versatile card. We can't pay for it with The Power of Flight but when he is in aerial mode we can use him to exhaust for Bombs Away and he can use Soaring Acrobatics.

Gameplay:

With the new Fear No Evil expansion Cindy can again team-up With Black Cat and try to reason with the queenpin so she will join her side.
