Ever wonder who the best Captain America is? Is it good old Steve or perhaps Bucky? Maybe even Sam? I mean if he can carry Frodo, he can carry the shield!

I don't know who is the best... but I think Jubilee might be one of the most fun Captain America's.

"I saw a Captain America's Shield just like that at the mall!" - Jubilee

Disclaimer: You are going to need Mission Prep from the NeXt Evolution expansion. You can play the campaign... or if you are like me, play whatever card and combo that makes the game most fun.

Why Jubilee?

Jubilee has two interesting features that make for an interesting Cap.

1. The "Like, totally!" abililty on her Hero card can pay the on the Captain America title upgrade.
2. The Shopping Spree side scheme allows Jubilee to go out and buy a new Captain America's Shield instead of using the old one. That means she can use the shield to pay for other cards, after hitting someone hard with it.

... also the thought of going to the mall to buy Captain America's Shield makes me chuckle.

Build Core

Since you cannot play the Captain America title upgrade from your hand, you're going to need Mission Prep to put it into play.

• Captain America's Shield

Note: You can play with the Prep side if you want to earn it, or Prepped side if you just want to get on with it.

Build Supportive

They key is to get E.V.A. in play.

Shopping Spree states that "Threat cannot be removed from this scheme by heroes or allies.".

This should not be a problem, since E.V.A. is a support ;).

Note: While some allies in the deck have "remove threat" abilities, they are likely not allowed to be used on Shopping Spree.

• Fantomex / E.V.A. - Fantomex is really there to bring in E.V.A.. E.V.A. can remove 1 threat from Shopping Spree each round.
• Shopping Spree - Most of the time used to buy a new Captain America's Shield at the mall.
• Mutant Education - Used to shuffle Shopping Spree back into the deck so we can get it into play again... to buy more shields of course.
• Front Organization - This organization is here to protect the title upgrade from leaving play by rogue encounter cards. The PR company trying to explain why Jubilee is a good choice as Captain America.

Build Enhancement

The aforementioned core concept works by itself, however these cards make the ride a little bit smoother.

• X-Mansion - Draws that extra card when using Mutant Education. The healing can also be helpful in keeping allies on the board.
• Forge - Can fetch X-Mansion but also any other X support you might be missing.
• Mutant Mayhem - Can refresh Fantomex if he is low on health because you insist on using him.
• Team Training - Gives Fantomex one more hitpoint, which can be useful if you insist on using him.
• Call for Backup - ... Get's Fantomex on the board.

Other Tricks

• Multitalented - A really solid multi-trigger card for Jubilee that can be used with Jubilee's Coat and Jubilee's Sunglasses.
• X-Gene - Wild resource generator for Jubilees many resource specific events.
• Face the Past - Card draw and deck thinning. You should be able to take out Nanny with Captain America's Shield if you can get rid of her tough. Any ally can do that.
• Beak / Kid Omega - I do enjoy the enter play and play effects when Mutant Mayhem is available.
• M - Can kill off any minion on enter play with 3/4 remaining hitpoints... I like this card.
• Utopia - Play an ally and can get a hero ready. This ready gives an extra resource.
• Down Time - I find myself chumping very little. This usually keeps the recovery to a single action rather than two.

Bonus +40

These cards are not really needed for the build, but can boost some side features if you are willing to go > 40.

• The Triskelion - Having extra options when playing Mutant Mayhem is nice and it gives Beak one more threat removal on enter play.
• Children of the Atom - This allows for even more options when playing Mutant Mayhem.
• Uncanny X-Force / Uncanny X-Men - Choose whichever you like. Fantomex should really stay in play, but all the other allies are X-Men so they can get the discount from Uncanny X-Men.
• Clarity of Purpose - Cheap upgrade that generates a resource for all of the events that need different resource types.
• Cell Phone - In longer multiplayer games you might run out of item's and maybe you want something other than a shield?
