Mission Prepped allowing you to "put an upgrade into play" means that, if you want, a non-sorcerer can put The Sorcerer Supreme into play, or a non-genius could put Ingenuity into play etc.
Drax as Sorcerer Supreme just feels right.
This scheme does not count against the player side scheme limit.
When Defeated: Flip this card and put Mission Prepped into play.
(The ability on Mission Prepped allows each player to play an upgrade from their deck for free.)
Enters play with 1 prep counter on it.
Action: Remove 1 prep counter from here → each player searches their deck and discard pile for 1 upgrade with a printed cost of 2 or less and puts it into play. (Any player can do this.)
