This deck centers around defending every turn and triggering the response on one of Shuri's Black Panther upgrades. Think about her upgrades as a kind of super Retaliate once you have them down, and use them to do whatever you need done.
Slapping on an Armored Vest in tandem with the new Defensive Conditioning with up your DEF stat to 4 (and a lil extra health). Defending the Villain's attack can trigger her Panther Claws, knocking out a minion, both ensuring that that minion doesn't also hit you and triggering Change of Fortune to get that sweet, sweet card draw. If you manage to have multiple minions down to one HP going into the villain phase, you can defend to trigger her Spider Bites upgrade and take them all down. Don't have any minions? Use her Kimoyo Beads to remove threat.
While you are defending all these attacks, you may as well deal damage back, am I right? That's where cards like, Dauntless, Electrostatic Armor, and the new event from the Hulkling pack, Cuts Both Ways, can come in handy. And if you are playing Cuts Both Ways, Flow Like Water will also trigger! The retaliatory damage can really stack up!
Using Desperate Defense can give you a little extra defense and a ready (readying is crucial if you want to do things on your turn). Indomitable is also a great card to have down when you will need it, but desperate defense will also trigger Flow Like Water.
Ready to Rumble will help when you flip down to heal, or when you exhaust your alter ego to play one of your upgrades. Shuri has some good alter ego stuff when you do need to flip, but I try to stay up if I can.
There are only a few allies in this deck, but you don't need many. Black Widow can get rid of some nasty encounter cards, while Gambit can get you a peek at the encounter deck. Jocasta can grab a Cuts Both Ways, or a Desperate Defense and store it for a rainy day, and T'Challa is just a great guy.
I've found this to be a different and fun way to play Shuri, let me know what you think!
