BOW DOWN TO YOUR ROBOT OVERLORDS

I usually prefer to focus on one single archetype in my decks, but this deck does both ally swarm/recursion and Voltron so well, I thought I’d share it:

Voltron Ven#m

The general aim is to get Ven#m on the board with all 4 sym counters to sit at a 5/5 stat line. General consensus is to slap on Sidekick and I’m not going to change what isn’t broken.

From there, you’ll want to get all 3 copies of R&D Facility on the board and a cheeky Leadership Skill to get the boost to 9/9. Inspired and Sidearm top it out at 11/10. Teamwork is another nice addition to help gain the power of the stat boosts without taking the consequential damage.

Then the fun REALLY starts, with 3 copies of Target Practice (which is a SUPPORT so can sit out until you want to pull the trigger!), which means a single activation can swing for 17 damage!! The cherry on top is Side-by-Side helping to ready and boost again for another +1 but by that point you might have already destroyed the villain!!

The Web-Warriors

After the above shenanigans, the ally swarm side of the deck is just a fun little extra to use for the essential card draw that Peni lacks.

Web of Life and Destiny is essential here, along with Make the Call, Noble Sacrifice, and Across the Spider-Verse exhausting WoLaD.

Ally-wise, I’ve included some favourites, and some that don’t get out much. Spider-Man feels like an auto-include for readying tech and card draw; Madame Web and Scarlet Spider work together really well too… but the choice is really open. The main use is for having them cycle out nice and quickly to get the card draw, and any enters/leaves play abilities.

Avengers Mansion is a 33% boost to hand size in hero form; and Unshakable is there for any scenarios where stun/confuse could get in your way.
