For Con of Heroes 2025, there were three prevailing themes spoiled: Web-Warriors, S.H.I.E.L.D, and Aerial. After the previous year I was really inspired to bring a single hero in every aspect. Spider-Woman happened to fit the themes and is my favorite hero. So I present the 10 Flavors of Spider-Woman
Aerial Santa
This deck was inspired by the teaser for the Jet Packs provided by the Con High Flying modular set. Pitchback and Yaw and Roll are great cost efficient cards to add an aspect to count Spider-Woman's Super Human Agility. Between Jet Pack and Self-Propelled Glide, I knew that I'd have a somewhat consistent Aerial presence.
Not wanting to overcommit to the Aerial requirements, I was also inspired my friend Josseroo. 2024 Con Joss brought a "Santa" Adam Warlock deck designed to hand out cards to other players at the table. The best aspect cards to hand to other players are all in Justice and Aggression. So this deck seemed like a perfect fit for a Santa deck.
Set-up
Fill the deck with 5 flexible Aggression and Justice spots. Sunfire, Boot Camp, and all of the aspect Upgrades are flexible spots. I brought 3 of each of these cards. At the start of each game I'd ask the table what they'd like and set my deck up for each team.
In the end, I didn't use "Now I'm Mad" and Disguise in a game.
Goal 1
Put out as many buffs on other players tables.
Goal 2
Use Events to best utilize resources to help the table.
Goal 3
Confuse the Villain in support of Float Like a Butterfly.
Reflections
The real satisfaction of this deck is giving the gift of fun to others. Watching other decks do broken things is great. Being able to do that and still contribute is what makes this deck special for me.
If I wasn't playing the High Flying Modular, I'd drop the Aerial cards for Making an Entrance and Quick Strike.
