I started off with dr00's Don't Stop Me Now deck, and ended up with this setup.

My personal preference is to reach as wide a swath of content as I can, and I learned right quick that a lot of the cards in the original version of the deck were just not helping in low-minion scenarios. This build I've put together still likes to pull in minions, but it manages extremely well even in situations where you don't have them. I've replaced the elements of the original deck that required minions to be present for any given hand of cards to function with Pitchback. I cannot overstate how cool this card is in this deck. Every basic attack just does an extra 5 damage. For one resource. Which most of the time you get for free. Thanks to this card you literally never have dead setup turns. You are always putting substantial damage on something.

With the above point made, Angela, Looking for Trouble, and Hall of Heroes stay in the deck because while you can't guarantee that you'll have a minion out for any given hand, you can certainly assume that there will be minions eventually. Seeking them out yourself means your friends don't have to event-reveal into them. Dealing with them is trivial for you, and every time one dies you build up Hall of Heroes so that when your Unleash Nova Force arrives, the wombo-combo will be 3 cards bigger.

Speaking of wombo-combos, let's talk about resources. I called this deck High Octane for a reason. A quarter of the deck is resources, which is a lot. It's especially a lot when you have something like the Supernova Helmet guaranteed from turn 1. However I personally disagree with dr00's choice to leave the one-off resources out. This deck wants as much resource as it can get. With this much resource backing you, you don't need to pick between setup and delivery. You almost never have to chuck a Dive Bomb in favor of an ally or setup card, and it ensures that you always pay for Moon Girl with 3 . Every single turn for this deck should involve multiple attack/thwart events, on top of (potentially multiple) Jarnbjorn triggers to chip the boss or end a minion, in addition to putting down an ally/support/upgrade card. Furthermore, it doesn't matter if you draw a hand flooded with resources when you have Hall of Heroes to backfill the hand with allies and/or any of the 9 slots worth of Pitchback, Pot Shot, and Lightspeed Flight. The only thing that should slow you down is running out of stuff to run over, not running out of fuel. TBH, I find it regretful that I can't add more resource to this deck. I have had several moments when I wished I had Everyday Hero to help my teammates, but there's just no room without going over the base 40. That's something to consider, if you want: those extra would certainly only help if you're ok with going over the deck minimum, and they would definitely smooth your personal resource base even more.

This just about sums up my thoughts on the Aggression Nova build. This champion's pure overload of resource generation is a serious asset that should be taken advantage of and played into. It means that unlike most heroes, Nova doesn't have to spend an entire deck cycle setting up and stabilizing before blitzing the boss. Nova comes in fast and hard from turn one, putting out consistent damage and threat removal in addition to setting up his field. This is the most active champion I've played in this game, and this playstyle has proven to be one of my all-time favorites.

I hope this build gives everyone a chance to live your MC LCG life in the fast lane.

-Enjoy!

hey, glad to see your take on the deck. all great choices. i agree that Pitchback is such a cool card! it was a really hard one to cut haha. i also love how, with Honed Technique, it's just slightly better than Pot Shot anyway. i think the choice of Energy/Genius/Strength is definitely up to personal taste. they're also just really difficult cards to cut as well. i think i should try to squeeze in Genius at least for Moon Girl and Honed Technique. maybe i can just go to 41 cards lol
