Venom is an weapon focused character. He comes with three Restricted weapons and his alter-ego tutors up a gun on setup. I see many decks giving him some extra weapons, particularly in Justice as his pack introduced Sonic Rifle. However, this isn't exactly necessary and kind of hinders you accessing his signature weapons. The praises of Multi-Gun have been sung far and wide, but Venom's Pistol is also very good, with both copies turning him into a 3 THW, 4 ATK, 4 DEF monster.

The strength of this deck is set-up speed, fueled by Venom's native symbiote ability and The Power in All of Us, and the draw power of One Way or Another, Nick Fury, Clear the Area and Skilled Investigator. I've had games where I ended the first turn with six permanents added to the board, cleared the initial threat on the main scheme as well as a side scheme and left a Confuse on the villain.

Unfortunately, OWOA loses utility later in the game when the encounter deck is depleted of side schemes, so only two copies can really be utilized. There are several other one-ofs in the deck which lose value in multiples or clash with some other cards, but have situational utility, e.g. Making an Entrance which conflucts with Clear the Area, but is occasionally very useful in giving you some extra thwart and health.

Another key piece is Helicarrier which enables you to meet the condition to stun or confuse with Grasping Tendrils and Behind Enemy Lines much easier while preserving your cards in hand.

I've run this deck through all the scenarios of GMW and it did very well, including taking down Ronan. However, it is liable to the Collector should you run into Shadow of the Past, a nigh unwinnable scenario as it floods the board with Enraged Symbiotes that you have to kill and then remove from the Collection as well.
