This is just a No-Ally/Change of Fortune deck for Hulking with a slight focus on multiplayer. He is a good candidate because he has a retaliate in Armored Shape, he can heal with his Armored Shape, he can do damage in the villain phase using Hulk Shape, and he has 2 defense events in kit which allow for killing enemies in the villain phase.

So, want to bump your DEF stat with Armored Vest, Defensive Conditioning, Innate Reflexes, and Ronin. I'd recommend staying in Armored Shape while doing that. Once they're all out, you should easily be able to block villain activations without taking damage. Even if you do happen to take some damage, when you use an event, you can heal with Armored Shape. While having a high defense, you can use The Best Offense... to thwart or attack effectively, you can use In Harm's Way for thwarting and damage, and it makes Armored Defense extremely good for its cost.

This isn't really a "perfect defense" build, because the only thing that cares about a perfect defense is Unflappable. That said, there are a few cards and situations that make it an auto include:

1) Stand Alone is a card that will allow us to ready and defend minions if we have exhausted ourselves to defend against the villain. We should be able to take no damage when defending against minions with our stacked DEF stat. This card is also great for multiplayer. If one of your teammates is attacked before you, defend their attack and then ready yourself for you own villain attack.

2) "I Can Do This All Day" is a card that will allow use to defend without exhausting or defend if we're already exhausted. Isn't this overkill when we already have Stand Alone? I don't feel like it is. It makes multiple defenses more consistent. You never know how many attacks you're going to receive in the villain phase with unknown encounter cards. Even if there are no extra attacks, having this and Stand Alone means you can do sequences like: Defend teammate, "I Can Do This All Day" against teammate's minion, Stand Alone to defend against my own villain attack. If you have Armored Shape, Ronin, and Electrostatic Armor, That's 9 damage you've done bye defending against 3 attacks.

3) Defiance is a card that I mainly use to help me hit Unflappable if there is no minion in play. Alternatively, if my health is low, Defiance helps reduce my incoming damage while also healing in Armored Shape.

The first two of these cards make it easy to defend a minion's attack which means we'll be triggering Unflappable. Hopefully the 3 damage from defense will also allow us to kill a minion in the villain phase for Change of Fortune. If 3 damage is not enough, hopefully we'll have Armored Defense for the rest of the damage.

Once you have your DEF stat pumped it and have a good bit of health, it could actually be worthwhile to change to Hulk Shape or Winged Shape. With Hulk Shape you can actually do more damage in the villain phase to start gunning down the villain or more damage minions to trigger Change of Fortune. If threat is an issue, Winged Shape can help you with that.

If you are playing solo, I'd probably recommend -3 "I Can Do This All Day", +1 Army of One, +2 Desperate Defense.

Hope you like the deck and will give it a try!
