Blaze of Glory? I’m more into some dulcet tones, thank you.

“Operator, could you help me place this call?”

This is a more purple aggression deck, with the allies being able to have +3 atk between Boot Camp and Energy Spear. Let’s bump that up 1 more AND allow them to attack out of turn using Cell Phone. Pesky minion ruining someone’s turn? Sic Tigra on them to attack for up to 6 with piercing and she’ll heal 1. A bunch of minions bothering someone? Thor can hit every minion in front of someone for 7 each. Just flipped the villain in On the Run and panic is setting in? Dust can just clear the field by hitting each minion for up to 5 at any time.

“But isn’t that the way they say it goes?”

Although very strong, the allies aren’t necessarily built to stick around. First Aid gives some breathing room, but outside of Tigra, the other allies will cycle in and out. Luckily, each ally pairs well with the idea on top of the mentioned ones. I didn’t even mention the potential 21 damage from the goat Goldballs, potentially able to do 14 in one turn if you ready him with C.I.T.T.

“Well let’s forget all that”

Star Lord has plenty to do himself! With the +atk upgrades he gets up to Blaze of Glory damage numbers every turn. A trivial to clear Lock and Load gets an Element Gun to keep the damage up. Both guns and a 4 base attack is a smooth 10 damage each turn. Now there are two Two-Gun Kids. The nice thing with this deck is you have flexibility in both play-style and in how many/few encounter cards you take.

“Let’s forget about the call”

If you’re playing solo, Cell Phone’s value goes drastically down. You can just drop them and not feel much of a difference. You could also add another ally like Psylocke if you want some safety to flip or Bug for another sticky ally. You could add Sidearms for even more ally damage, but it seemed excessive. Sideboarding some for the retaliate villains isn’t a bad idea though.

“So thank you for your time

Well, you've been so much more than kind

You can keep the dime”
