This deck is being posted in response the the Winning Hand podcast's Change of Fortune episode. I've been cooking it for a while, so it's a little late, but it performs well. Note that Containment Strategy is being used as a proxy for the upcoming Ronin upgrade card from Fear No Evil (everything else about it matches except the title and text box). You can find the text box details here...Ronin Upgrade

The goal here is to get Shadowcat defending without exhausting. That way she can defend in Phased form and ignore the damage, letting her trigger "Stop Hitting Yourself", Flow Like Water and Unflappable. In addition to those effects, she is loaded with ways to deal damage during the villain turn. Cuts Both Ways, Dauntless and the Ronin upgrade give her up to Retaliate 3, while Excelsior and Preemptive Strike can score even more damage.

All of her Defense cards do not require her to exhaust to trigger them, so she will be free to do use basic powers during her player turn (attacking conveniently flips her to Phased for the villain turn), or to clear status effects or encounter card effects.

Most cards in this deck are pretty low costed, allowing Change of Fortune go actually have a little more effect when triggered and give you more options and card plays.

You could easily add in Armored Vest or another previewed card, Innate Reflexes, to boost your DEF stat higher, but I was happy with the damage being dealt as is and not requiring further setup. Speaking of setup, I do feel that is this deck's weakness in solo play, as it does not have any real way to deal with threat and it could get out of control while you get your damage engine going.
