This deck can do some crazy damage and has the opportunity to have some huge late game turns (either thwarting or attacking). The overall theme is inspired by the usage of Repurpose that is done in the crazy deck by journeyman2: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/22782/gwen-hits-the-griddy-1.0. We can't pocket Repurpose for future turns using George Stacy, but with a thin enough second deck pass and enough luck, we could hit some huge turns without much consequence.
In the beginning, you want to mulligan for Symbiote Suit and Web of Life and Destiny as well as any of SP//dr's identity specific upgrades. Second priority would probably be at least one Med Team and Avengers Mansion. After you have most or all of that core down, try to focus on getting as many upgrades and in play as possible so that way your deck gets super thin on your second pass through. You can utilize Ready for a Fight to get more draw and maybe heal to keep Dauntless online.
The late game engine involves using Host Spider, Peter Parker Spider-Man, and Repurpose on your Forcefield Generators to have some HUGE turns. With just Symbiote Suit and Peter Parker Spider-Man in play, a single Repurpose proc turn looks like this:
- Attack for 3 damage (2+1 from Symbiote Suit)
- Repurpose a Forcefield Generator for 3, which readies SP//dr Suit and gives her +3 attack
- Attack for 6 damage
- Host Spider readies SP//dr Suit
- Attack for 6 damage
- Peter Parker Spider-Man attacks for 2, readying SP//dr Suit
- Attack for 6 damage
23 damage (or thwart) in a single turn! ...not to mention Web-Fluid Compressor increasing one of those attacks by two, and All Systems Go! or even another Repurpose proc potentially extending this turn and its damage even more. Then you can turn around and defend the whole next enemy's attack with your 5 defense from Symbiote Suit and Speed-Metal Alloy.
For allies, it is vital to keep Peter Parker Spider-Man alive (using Med Team) to enable that extra ready. You can get them into play by using Across the Spider-Verse. The second ally slot should be used for VEN#m, who you've ideally gotten to +4 with her Hero Response. The third ally slot is reserved exclusively for web warrior churn cards like Ghost-Spider, Silk, Spider-Byte, and Otto Octavius Spider-Man. That last slot is basically to spawn them in, get a little thwart or a tough ping, and get rid of them ASAP. Card draw is super valuable for SP//dr, so enabling Web of Life and Destiny to give you that draw is super important.
