Finally found time to give Tigra a good run out. As good as she is in Aggression, I convinced myself she would be decent in Protection. Happy to confirm I was right.
Upgrades
Firstly, let's bump up her DEF stat with Armored Vest and Defensive Conditioning - now your up to a 5 DEF so more often than not, you'll take no damage.
Endurance comes in, so now we're up to 16hp too and Deft Focus to reduce Tooth and Claw even more than it will be...
...because the idea here is we'll get every copy of Hunted out to have 3 minions on the table which, when all Pinned Down effectively sit on the table for Cat's Head Amulet to give you 3 resources each round.
And because this deck is very Upgrade heavy, we have only a few allies and events meaning we can use a Practiced Plan / Ready for a Fight combo so you can drop down to Alter-Ego every round, draw 6, and then discard Ready for a Fight - into your hand. Now you have 7 cards in your hand, which you'll draw up to 10 (if 3 minions out), thanks to her Hero ability.
Oh, make that 11 cards if you take no damage with Unflappable. And reduce main scheme threat with 2 copies of Hard to Ignore.
Phew.
Supports
As you're defending every round, on the odd occasion there's an advance / extra villain it minion attack, Angel's Aerie can stack up plenty of recovery.
I tended to use Quincarrier as default to get Ready for a Fight out whenever it was in my hand, but hey, you do you. I'm not your dad.
Allies
Machine Man is a great addition here; you can exhaust [Cat's Head Amulet] (/card/56004) to buff whichever stat you need. Yellowjacket can help you dig for and Upgrade, which you'll likely always find and Patriot can take an attack with a Tough, every time you engage a minion.
Events
Just one addition here; What Doesn't Kill Me. You could add a 3rd copy, makes sense. This worked nicely, especially once I had both copies of Cat-Like Reflexes out, making that basic ATK up to 4.
And that's it. To date, I've ran through Captain America, Captain Marvel and Spider-Woman. Just Iron Man, She-Hulk and Vision to go...
