While watching Villain Theory's video on every hero's best everything, I noticed his mention of the new ally Spider-Byte as being good with Black Widow. This deck, once set up, is a powerhouse of control. Black Widow's gauntlet's ability to pay for preparations with a wild resource makes Ready for a Fight viable every single turn. Throw in Widow's Biteand her widowmaker ability, and you are looking at minimum 8 handsize almost every turn with Change of Fortune (meaning you can afford The Pericles, for even more control). Energy Barrier, while also a target for Leo Fitz, helps keep you alive early, as does Ops Room. Stun Gun is a luxury really, for even more control. When you are all set up and ready to swing, Repurpose lets you discard your tech (Energy barrier, stun gun, synth-suit) to ready and do big damage.
Spider-Byte and Winter Soldier essentially go in for free once you are set up, and White Widow is nearly unkillable with her ability and your triggering preparations.
Each turn you start in hero form, do some attacking/thwarting, then flip down to alter-ego, use Leo Fitz to grab a tech for another card in hand, trigger Safe House 29 to grab Ready for a Fight, play it with Gauntlets, draw a card from her alter-ego ability...rinse, and repeat. If you have threat to deal with, her covert ops card is not a hero action, so you may draw into it and be able to play it in alter-ego (which confuses the villain, meaning you can use ready for a fight on a minion's scheme instead, adding to your durability). If you can get one of each Black Widow preparation out in solo, you can almost guarantee an easy villain phase.
The key to this deck is the first two turns. If you can get set up, you are a powerhouse. This deck can struggle against high-tempo villains (handled Klaw, Magneto and Ultron fine). If you want a lot of fun, play against Ultron. Change of Fortune is triggering every single turn!
