Not So Civil War

With Civil War released, well, soon*, I’ve been playing a lot of the AoS heroes while I bide my time to play the new hotness.

Maria Hill can fall into a pattern of the same thing again and again, but she does have some exploration in her kit. Primarily, her give every ally the S.H.I.E.L.D trait. This opens up some really interesting interactions.

In aggression you have several multi hitting allies, and a certain 2 Gun Child releasing soon who will be perfect for this deck. Let’s Lock and Load and watch the fireworks.

It’s simple, really. Aside from the usual Maria route, we have a more explosive path. Thor and Dust have a requisition for heavy artillery in the form of Bambino. Without needing S.H.I.E.L.D. Deputy, Maria is easily the most capable of this combo. Give them S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm or even better Bambino and the minions won’t know what hit them. You can even stretch their hitpoints out further than most when a Field Agent covers their six.

All these weapons pack some impressive Firepower, and as such anyone still left when the dust settles won’t be left for much longer. You won’t have to make The Hard Call, unless you just really want to. You’re S.H.I.E.L.D. Director, after all.

This is quite the overkill in solo, and plenty of overkill in mp. But, there’s no kill quite like it. A bunch of toughs trying to ruin your fun? If the S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm isn’t enough, you can always ring The Bellerophon.

And that’s it. After seeing what this deck can do, I know whose side I’m on.
