INTRO
As requested on Reddit, I'm sharing my Black Panther deck. It isn't groundbreaking, just my own take on BP with a S.H.I.E.L.D. package.
But this is a solid deck. I used it to defeat several villains, including Magneto on Standard 3 Expert 2 + Genosha. If you're struggling with Black Panther, maybe this list can help you.
WHY S.H.I.E.L.D.
I used to play my own version (limited by my collection) of the classic deck "Wakanda Forever and ever and ever", that is built around Strength In Numbers and allies to (hopefully) dig into Wakanda Forever!. Unfortunately, too often the toughest villains overwhelmed me, because I was in desperate need of burst threat removal, and I didn't have it.
That's where Global Logistics comes in. It's cheap and incredibly strong, letting you check the encounter deck to dodge dangerous draws. Once you're stable, you can even use it on your own deck to guarantee a Wakanda Forever! with Avengers Mansion or The Golden City. The Golden City is one of the best cards in the game (always mulligan for it), and with Global Logistics you can flip safely to AE to make good use of it.
Homeland Intervention, is another great fit, because it basically clears any side scheme once you have 2 or 3 S.H.I.E.L.D. supports on the table.
That's why I included two Player Side Schemes. Build Support is in for The Golden City, while Specialized Training gives you flexibility. I usually choose Front Line Specialist for the extra HP since I like to facetank, letting Retaliate chip enemies for 1, but you can choose a different specialization according to your own playstyle or specific scenario.
Core pieces
Monica Chang and 3x Surveillance Team are the backbone of this deck because they fuel the key events mentioned above.
Don't use up all the counters on Surveillance Team so Homeland Intervention can do its magic.
Use Monica to chump block before decking out, so you can shuffle her back in, and then draw her again to pull out another Surveillance Team and get extra counters.
Expensive home
Avengers Mansion is pricey but powerful. With Black Panther's Vibranium, paying for it shouldn't be an issue. Unless you're about to win, you should play it immediately, as long as it won't cost you the game.
Reliable security cams
Under Surveillance is fantastic in solo, so I always include it in justice builds.
Skilled Investigator offers card draw and makes a great discard target if an encounter card makes you discard an upgrade. Since it costs 0, just like the Player Side Schemes that go in the Victory display, it helps thin your deck so you can find those juicy Wakanda Forever!
Building your kingdom
The deck makes it easy to survive while you set up your board.
Play The Golden City when you can, mulligan for it, and prioritize setting up one or two S.H.I.E.L.D. supports early. According to my playstyle, usually my first Upgrade is Vibranium Suit.
Once your board is set up, you'll feel the true power of Black Panther.
This deck blends Black Panther's resilience with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s precision. It rewards patience, planning, and smart sequencing. Once your engine is set, even the toughest villains will feel the claws of Wakanda.
EXTRA NOTES
- Feel free to swap allies if you want, but I wouldn't cut Professor X or Nick Fury.
- I left out Sonic Rifle because I already run two confuse effects, and I often face Stalwart enemies. Heroic Intuition feels more consistent.
- I also skipped Quincarrier since I don't own it, and because Helicarrier gives you another target for Global Logistics and Homeland Intervention.
