Let's face it, She-Hulk is widely considered to be the worst hero of the Core Set, and is consistently at the bottom of every tier ranking. Her Hero kit is all over the place and also features some terrible cards in general. So, to make She-Hulk playable and fun, she is going to have to tip the Scales of Justice. Let's altogether eschew her brilliant lawyer side, and go full bore on what everyone thinks of when they see green skin... SMASH!
Hit It Hard
Right off the bat, she'll be digging for Honed Technique and Fluid Motion. Mulligan hard for either one, as they are the backbone of this deck. She can keep a Combat Training as a third option, because She-Hulk only turns sideways for one reason. Basic Attacks. Her THW and DEF may as well be zero.
If She-Hulk is the Strong Arm of the Law, Strength and Energy will be included too, right? Not so fast! While she's a Hulk, the only basic resource she will be using is Genius. She's not going to waste four years of undergrad, three years of law school, and passing the bar exam. She will need Genius to help trigger Honed Technique, and will use the flexibility of the two The Power of Aggressions to ensure she can pay for No Quarter. She's also included a copy of Enhanced Awareness and a Quincarrier to help trigger Honed Technique in a pinch.
She's also stacked the deck with Aggression ATTACK Events. First up, she has Full-Body Charge. With Hone Technique, that's 12 damage for five resources, which can potentially have Overkill. It makes an excellent finisher or an efficient way to deal with a beefy minion like a Thunderbolt (with a basic attack). Melee is fun because each attack gets the Honed Technique bonus. Its only downside is making sure there are multiple targets on the board, as She-Hulk will not be able to attack the same enemy twice with it. Into the Fray will be She-Hulk's only foray into Threat reduction (Besides her Alter-Ego Ability), and No Quarter is an excellent source of extra resources.
But Thwarting and Economy aren't SMASHING, right? She-Hulk is here to Hit It Hard! Marked is the answer. Marked is crazy good for this deck. It works with Into the Fray to double-dip the excess damage - She-Hulk now both thwarts and smashes the Villain's face. It works with No Quarter to draw cards and smash the Villain's face. It works with Melee to smash the Villain, kill a minion, and smash the Villain's face. Marked only costs itself, so it's very easy to toss it on a minion and then go ham.
Marked also has another bonus use, specifically for She-Hulk. It allows her to get extra usage out of Superhuman Strength! As per Rules Reference v1.6
- An ability’s cost cannot be paid if that ability’s effect requires one or more targets and there is not at least one valid target.
If She-Hulk hits a minion and kills it, the cost of the Forced Interrupt can not be paid because there is no longer a target! If the minion is Marked, the Overkill goes to the Villain! She can attack again with Superhuman Strength applied! Just be aware of her sequencing - playing an Attack Event can trigger Superhuman Strength, and she will lose that sweet _2 ATK bonus.
Hit It Often
All of these Attack Events are fun, but the real Brawn to this Beauty's deck is how often she can turn sideways, and how much damage she can do. She-Hulk's printed 3 ATK is one of her greatest assets. Only Hulk and Ant-Man's Giant form have a printed attack of 3. Add Combat Training, and she can easily manage the bulk of minions in the game (or just smash the villain). Deft Focus will also add to her considerable strength. In the late game, she can trigger both copies, giving her a staggering 6 ATK. Superhuman Strength brings it to 8. Then She-Hulk just punches and punches and punches with Battle Fury, One-Two Punch, and Limitless Stamina.
