This deck is about various janky plans that you might be able to use to leverage to a win:
Plan #1 - Get out Negasonic Teenage Warhead with an Energy Shield and ideally with both Finesse cards and a Quincarrier out so you can potentially cancel 2 when revealed effects during the villain phase while having Negasonic activating without taking consequential. She can take no damage with both Finesse, Quincarrier and an additional energy. There are 20 in the deck, including Enhanced Awareness. She can also be healed by Tic-Tac-Toe.
If you will never use this plan, swap out this ally for either Bob, Agent of Hydra (cheap ally), Get Rage-y (0-cost stat booster that can get more uses out of Marvel or a Pool ally), Not my Responsibility (0-cost stat booster that can help you flip down), or another Mulligan. Your preference :)
Plan #2 - Captain Marvel loves Energy Shield. She draws a card + 2 Thwart/Attack for 1 energy resource. Good when transforming a resource from a generator into a card... like with Finesse. This is a nice plan if/when you're trying to setup plan #1. Alternatively, you can just heal her via Tic-Tac-Toe as well.
Plan #3 - Play cheap/effectively free stuff like Mulligan, Energy Barrier, and Leading Blow for cheap stat boosts. Hopefully, triples/doubles and general resources in your hand can get you to 3 in all of your stats for you to do good things. The Night Nurse will try to keep you stun/confuse free so it won't affect you using your beefy activations.
At this point, I should mention that you can sink resources into Energy Shield when attacking with an ally, using Stick-to-Itiveness, using Tic-Tac-Toe before using Mulligan.
Plan #4 - Pool allies. It could be worth it to have 1-3 allies out that take no consequential damage and give you +1-3 attack (via Laser Swords). Yes, there are negatives with this, but I think the good can outweigh the bad depending on the villain. This bonus attack can help ensure Leading Blow does its thing and makes Stick-To-Itiveness and Self-Propelled Glide even better. Spider-Woman is pretty resilient and needs chump blockers less than other heroes because of status effects in her kit and potentially high defense. You can also put an Energy Shield on Spider-Woman for extra resilience. Beyond that, she has the always returning Clea and 2 other tough allies.
Your AE ability and Laser Swords help make sure your Leading Blow is successful!
Hope you have fun with it :)

May 08, 2025I did say janky plans ;) Added alternative options if you don't like plan #1. I just thought it could be fun to have her out and cancel both encounter cards. To be honest, there are definitely more efficient options and it there's no guarantee that you'll get treachery cards (ie all the goblins in mutagen). Just thought it was a funny interaction between Negasonic and Energy Shield. |
Hello. I love the interaction between Energy Shield with Captain Marvel and with Mulligan. Good idea !
But i hate your plan 1. Negasonic is just so bad. 4 mana. 1 more encounter card for no profit.
