"An idealistic, inquisitive wallcrawler is plunged into a world where motives are uncertain and morals are compromised while helping a global agency apprehend robots, dinosaurs, a large man in a Rhino costume, and a guy with a really big head in a floating chair."
This is a Justice deck incorporating Silk and the SHIELD Justice package’s deck manipulation and tucking mechanics.
If you're not looking to build strictly Web-Warrior for her in Justice (I don't really favor the Justice Web-Warriors, so I was definitely looking for other options!), a SHIELD package is a good way to get around her Spider-Man thwarting--until [Organic Webbing](/card/30011 is out, anyway!--provided there's enough time to build it out, and this deck also focuses on making sure there's at least some amount of burst thwarting if necessary.
ALLIES:
Mostly this is a list of strong SHIELD allies that can be mapped on Sicario's main characters.
Ghost-Spider is the old friend from her home agency who is worried about Silk's health and is trying let her to lighten up and give up her foolish pride, but might not have the patience to do so (and can grab a thwarting event, Silk's Swinging Web Kick analogue, or a Smooth as Silk to restore her tucked cards on the way out!)
Nick Fury is the frustratingly opaque mission handler/CO who will bring you some cards and help you cycle through the deck, take a hit, and then leave, closing his ears and eyes to whatever you plan to do with those cards.
Grant Ward is the shady Benicio Del Toro analogue who seems just as liable to put a gun to you as he does to an enemy. Fortunately, Ingenuity is enough to pretty reliably prevent him from going through with that.
War Machine is here to shoot or—I mean, eat an attack on the Web Warrior guest with his tough. Don’t worry that he is literally called War Machine. He’s here to help.
Monica Chang ... doesn't really have a film analogue, I guess. She's just there to get Surveillance Teams out to help feed Global Logistics and Homeland Intervention
EVENTS: Besides the aforementioned deck manipulation, cards like One Way or Another and Infiltration can help get those side schemes and minions out so you can tuck them. J.J. can pitch in and help with those side schemes, too!
Upgrades and Support: Mostly the picks here are to set up resource generators (both Government Liaison and Deft Focus have a healthy amount of targets!) and, again, to help sure Silk doesn't have to use basic activations to thwart, but there's some standouts.
The Raft is here to with Justice's minion concerns and to act as an exhaust for Homeland Intervention/Global Logistics. Thanks to Silk Sense, you can pluck even more minions out without having to worry about a prison break.
Sideboard Adds/Replacements!
Swapping Agent 13 for Rhodey, if you're not afraid of getting hit can help you pump out more cost reduction, Sky Destroyer shots, or thwarting ticks. More importantly, it would no doubt make a Maria Hill player pretty happy!
If you're in an encounter with a lot of Vulnerable, you could potentially get away with swapping out things like Sky Destroyer and a copy of surveillance team to get a Sonic Rifle or two in. Since Silk can get some nice card draw in alter-ego (and good healing with Albert Moon, this can help support flipping. Just remember that vulnerable minions hit with statuses aren't picked up by Silk Sense.
For encounters with a scary sub-boss-type minions like Red Skull, Magog, Hela and other such encounters, a Beat Cop can also help give you an extra tick of thwart removal and could help you chunk those down to push to the end. Just remember that they're expensive and will remain so. No discounts here!
Ideally, your SHIELD allies and supports will help keep things under control thanks to a relatively cheap event package along with cost reduction for said SHIELD allies and supports. That way you can become numbed to the escalating violence and human rights violations until you can swing from a web and kick a villain off a building. I’m pretty sure that was the point of that movie.
… Right?
This is only deck I’ve published my 4 years of playing this game. Special thanks to SDx for doubling down on the Raft consideration and to any deckbuilder who put the sweat and effort into incorporating a meme to play around with into their gameplan. You’ve all given me a lot of joy over the years!
