The Year 2099, Rocket and Groot have left the assortment of morons (guardians) and are in search of their next great adventure.

Captain Rocket lands in a strange land with a bunch of Spider-people (more morons). But these Web-Warriors as they're called are quite useful and now Captain Rocket has found his destiny in a web! Or he found the web of destiny, maybe? Who cares, he's working with Web people you get the point.

Setup:

The setup for this deck is pretty light but the most important thing is getting a web warrior card into play. The 2 easiest ways to get this going are Build Support to get Web of Life and Destiny into play or Call for Backup to get a WW ally into play.

Web is the most important card for the deck as it provides the card draw each time a WW ally leaves play which is going to happen a ton.

Outside of that we want Endurance or Rocket's Cybernetic Skeleton in play which boost his health. This is especially useful early game as we are trying to get the WW strategy setup. We also want to get Ingenuity into play as it provides a resource.

Then we want Rocket's Thruster Boots to jump his thwart up to 3. Side Holster allows us an extra restricted weapon upgrade as well.

Deck Strategy:

Use Tech, Overkill Bad Guys and Draw a Buttload of Cards

The only status this deck has is Platinum Card Draw.

Why Web Warriors for Rocket? The main reason is Spider-Man as Otto can ready a tech card providing card draw and Rocket looooves his tech. Pairing him with the new Spiderman 2099 ally allows for some really fun shenanigans.

Picture this: Use Battery Pack to put a counter onto Particle Cannon then Play Otto from hand to ready Battery Pack again and add another counter to Particle Cannon.

Exhaust Particle Cannon and deal 4 damage to the villain.

Have Otto thwart so he doesn't die to consequential and then use 2099 to attack/thwart which allows you to send a WW ally back to hand, in this case Otto which draws a card for Web.

Use Squared Off to bring a minion out and put Otto into play readying particle cannon and draw another card. Use particle cannon to take out the minion dealing excess damage and draw from that.

If Command Team is out you could ready 2099 to do it again continuing the cycle. If not, you could leave Otto to chump block and recur him to your hand with Regroup to start the combo again next turn or just have him thwart for 1 to let 2099 send him back to the hand next turn.

If you drew into a Reload you'd be able to hit another particle cannon blast!

This is just one combo that 2099 can pull off. With Ghost-Spider, you can do the same thing sending her back to your hand allowing for card draw from Web and being able to search your deck for an identity specific event like Reload, Schadenfreude or I've Got a Plan.

With Spider-Man, you can have Hobie thwart for 2 then use 2099 to send him back to your hand triggering his when leaves play ability. Then you can play him again from hand for more thwart and a potential chump block next phase which would trigger his when leave play ability again.

SP//DR is another that you can really take advantage of, you can play her and have her attack then use Command team or Peter to ready her and thwart sending her back to your hand with a card draw. This is really nice to ping off toughs or soften a minion up for some overkill then replay her for more value.

With all the swinging in and out of play thwart hasn't been an issue so flipping down to tinker Rocket's tech is another key part of the strategy and can lead to some really crazy turns. Tinkering one of his pieces of tech nets 2 cards allowing you to start your hero phase with 8 cards. I have had times where i was holding 13 cards in hand from dealing excess damage, Otto reading tech and WW's leaving play which allows for some really dynamic turns.

We have squared off to bring minions into play for Rocket to overkill as well as Face the Past. I love this card for Rocket as his nemesis only has 3 health meaning just one shot from a Particle Cannon nets you some overkill damage. 4 card draw for that one minion coming out is pretty sweet! You can also use your morons (WW's) to soften up the minions allowing for more overkill to spill onto the villain.

The last piece of strategy is keeping Rocket alive which is done through using the WW's as well as Groot to chump block. This isn't a normal chump block though, we really only want to do this if our health is too low to tank a hit. With 2 regroups, we can also get those allies right back in most cases to replay. We also have Across the Spider-Verse to bring a WW from discard, this is really great to bring 2099 or Peter back. When you have an abundance of cards in hand you may even be able to get 2 WW's out of discard.

The main allies for chumping are Groot, Hobie and Otto since Otto's ability is only when played from hand. Across the Spider-verse is not his friend.

Overall this deck has been a ton of fun and really strong. I would love to hear any feedback or experiences with it!
