  1. Ghost Spider has an ability called "Dizzying Reflexes" that lets her ready in both the hero phase and the villain phase.
  2. Ghost Spider has a really important card called "Web-Bracelet". It is an upgrade that lets you draw a card in response to the same effects that trigger Dizzying Reflexes. It also has the Tech trait.
  3. Ghost Spider really likes to use the Protection aspect, because it has great defense cards that let you trigger Dizzying Reflexes in the villain phase.
  4. The Protection aspect has an event card called "Repurpose", that lets you discard an upgrade with the Tech trait to ready your hero and give them a bonus to all further attacks for the duration of the turn.
  5. The new purpose of your Web-Bracelets is to bash the villain's face.

Start the turn with an attack for 2. Play Repurpose and discard a Web-Bracelet. Attack for 4. Respond with Ghost Kick to attack for 6 and ready Ghost Spider. Attack for 4. You just did 16 damage from a two card combo that you can stock under George Stacy. Throw in Peter Parker and/or more Repurposes for additional fun.

Delving deeper, this deck is still a bit of a work in progress. It kind of has a problem where it mostly feels like it is spinning its wheels until you are ready to Repurpose. You're rarely in any danger, but you're not really doing all that much. Part of this is the need to fill the deck with enough events to safely defend and trigger Dizzying Reflexes. You also are kind of obligated to run stuff like Unflappable and Armored Vest, further cutting into your cards that "do stuff".

Another problem is that the Web Warrior roster isn't exactly extensive, so you're not frequently playing allies that are out there generating value. Spider-Man Noir is a 3-cost 0/0 that does nothing. Gwen defends perfectly and almost never has incentive to flip to Alter-Ego, mostly rendering Protection Miles a blank 4-cost ally with 3-cost stats. Spider-UK is awesome, but he kind of sits there waiting for minions to show up. Peter Parker is amazing, but he's also really unreliable to play without The Power in All of Us. It's hard enough to justify one copy of that card with only five cards to spend it on, let alone a potential second. How about adding some more Basic Web Warriors? Scarlet Spider is a 4-cost with mediocre stats and a conditional ability. Spider-Ham is almost there, but is certainly not reliable. Yet, I almost feel compelled to add one or both of those to justify a second Power to help with Pete. If I really want to play another ally and keep reasonably on theme, Daredevil is probably the best card. If only it were truly a multiverse and Gwen hero could play Gwen ally.

I'm still grappling with Change of Fortune. It seems cool. I wish it triggered off of Spider-UK or Daredevil. I generally don't like the idea of using Ghost Kick in the villain phase to kill minions rather than just using SpUK. Nor do I like the idea of adding Powerful Punch to sometimes kill minions. Maybe it's worth it. Drawing two cards is certainly very nice.

Basically, this is a good deck that really feels like it's not quite there. The defense and combo finish are just so strong that the deck performs better than it feels.
