4-Pack Challenge (up to 4 packs outside of the Core Set): Storm, NeXt Evolution, Iceman, Core Set

This is the second deck created with Ice Man for this challenge. This one was built to compete with the higher level villains of the NeXT Evolution expansion (Standard and Expert). The previous deck (a Protection deck) had difficulty handling Juggernaut at Expert, so this is where I made the switch to this Leadership deck. If wanted, the original Protection deck will be titled "The Indomitable Snowman (4-Pack Challenge)" once I finish its writeup.

Villains Tested Against (in standard and expert): Juggernaut, Mister Sinister, and Stryfe (and Klaw as a bonus).

Two specific cards were included in this deck to take advantage of Hope Summers starting the game in play for the hero against Juggernaut, Mister Sinister, and Stryfe: Inspired and Sidearm. These were removed when facing Klaw. Sidearm was particularly beneficial whenever a villain gained retaliate, but the two ally upgrades were particularly beneficial with Get Ready.

Strategy 1: Multiple/Powerful ally attacks and thwarts

Get Ready and Leadership Skill combine well to allow allies to provide significant thwarting and damage. While Get Ready wasn't quite as powerful against Klaw (due to the lack of Hope Summers), it frequently gave Nick Fury multiple attacks or thwarts or a combination of the two. In addition, Nick Fury was often the ally of choice for use with Make the Call to cycle into needed cards. Also, Hope Summers became even more powerful whenever Ice Slide was in play.

Strategy 2: Protecting the hero and the main scheme

For villains susceptible to Stun, Mirage could often Stun a villain due to the use of Frostbite bringing down the villain's Thwart stat. In addition, Frozen Solid could stop any villain's attack or scheming, while Ice Wall provided periodic much-needed delays.

While not all supports were necessary for some of the victories, they magnified the possibilities as each one came into play.
