SSDD - Side Scheme Draw & Damage (True Solo)

TESTED AGAINST:

• Ebony Maw (Solo/Standard)
• Venom Goblin (Solo/Standard)
• Thanos (Solo/Standard)

STRATEGY

The goal is to be able to cycle through the deck and set up Wolverine with Upgrades by removing Side Schemes as targets for Track by Scent, Turn the Tide and Followed. Once set up, you can chip away massive amounts of damage with his kit events Berserker Barrage, Lunging Strike and Slice and Dice.

This "True Solo" build decks out insanely fast, but that means the set up is pretty fast as well.

I. SIDE SCHEME/ DRAW

One Way or Another is our main draw event card. For zero cost, it gives us 3 new cards in exchange for a side scheme. In "True Solo," most side schemes will only have 2-3 threat, meaning it would be easy targets for combos with Track by Scent (for extra card draw) as well as Followed and Turn the Tide for instant 3-7 damage on threat removal. (13 damage with 3 copies of Turn the Tide!)

Tip: When cycling through, most of Wolverine's kit cards would probably be used as resources– except for Track by Scent. It is okay to throw them out while you set up.

II. HERO SET UP

Main Priority:

• Adamantium Skeleton or Endurance as this gives us extra survivability and more uses for Wolverine's Claws
• Berserker Frenzy for the extra card draw
• Helicarrier for cheaper cards (free 1 cost cards!)
• Weapon X or Logan's Cabin is the least priority as it requires flipping to Alter-Ego

Others:

• Command Center for the added damage if you have allies out, but not super important
• Monica Chang for the instant 4-counter Surveillance Team (which won't be used standalone)
• Nick Fury extra card draw, damage, and blocker
• Wiccan for the additional damage
• "I Got Better" if you need the extra survivability
• Agent Coulson is a good thwart ally that cycles out Counterintelligence, which can be use as a safety measure or as an extra resource

END GAME

Deal crazy damage with Wolverine's kit!!!

Lunging Strike and Slice and Dice are pretty straightforward. Berserker Barrage has the potential to do 8-damage to Villain bring the villains health down to 4 first before using this event. Jubilee allows for an 8-damage exhaust swing.

POSSIBLE CHANGES

Jessica Jones, Speed, Command Center, Agent Coulson, and Counterintelligence are all not necessarily important and can be changed to other cards that might be better. Here are my suggestions:

• The X-Jet** is probably the best card to include as it allows for another resource. Wolverine's kit cards are quite expensive so it would help to have another resource generator.
• Skilled Investigator** definitely combos well with the draw mechanic of this deck.
• Avengers Mansion is a good card, just seemed really expensive for this kit.
• Under Surveillance for some match-ups, especially when building first. Although, I don't think Wolverine would have much of a problem with Threat removal.
• Heroic Intuition just for the additional Thwart increase.
