The main core of this deck is to utilise Black Widow's amazing ally-recurring potential in Leadership to recur Black Panther in order for him to recur Mission Planning.
The pieces
Mission Planning + Command Team: this combo allows you to spam ally activations without worrying about their health.
Mighty Avengers and Avengers Assemble! help you get more value out of the main combo.
Black Panther is the star of the show. Every time he enters play (be it from your hand, through Call for Backup or through Rapid Response, he lets you search your discard pile for a leadership event. 90% of the time it's gonna be Mission Planning, but if you already have it ready on your hand, you might want to get Avengers Assemble! out of it to strengthen your combo!
Symbiote Suit is a very good card on Black Widow. It patches her big weakness that is her small HP pool, boosts her basic stats (which she can utilise 2 to 3 times in a round depending on your use of Synth-Suit and Avengers Assemble!), the bigger hand size lets her draw her combos faster and finally, her preparation cards help her alleviate the danger coming from the hazard icon.
Quincarrier and Helicarrier are your typical resource economy boosters, and so is Avengers Tower.
Ant-Man and Stinger let you cheaply get value out of your Team Training and Mighty Avengers combo, especially when you can play the former for free and the latter with just the Avengers Tower discount.
Kaluu is here to help with finding Mission Planning and/or Avengers Assemble!. Captain America is your prime target for Call for Backup (unless you're struggling to keep Black Panther in play), but he's also relatively easy to play mid-late game once you have some allies and resource generators in play.
Build Support has many targets here and should be used depending on what you need, be it resources from the carriers, Mighty Avengers for the stats boost, or if you're feeling particularly tech-y, Command Team when you have 3 in play to use one up and get it back (which in this Avengers tribal deck is most likely the only way to achieve 4 readies from Command Team).
The Plan
On your first go through your deck, you really want to have Black Panther (ideally with Mission Planning attached), any Player Side Scheme, Rapid Respose and Safe House #29 in play, so your Mission Planning is usable and Black Panther is easy to recur. Symbiote Suit and Command Teams are very nice to have, but not at the cost of the above.
Rather than achieving a single explosive turn, this deck is more about having good ones consistently, so don't worry about not being fully set up when utilising Mission Planning. When you use it, simply basic attack/thwart with your allies and ready the most valuable ones with Command Teams. One thing to keep in mind - they don't take consequential damage, but they're not immune to Retaliate! Keep that fact in mind, both to be able to avoid damaging your allies when you don't want to... or to damage them when you do to help them get recurred with Rapid Response!
Possible modifications and developments
One idea I'm really keen on here is trying a SHIELD version of this deck. Dum Dum Dugan is really going to love multiple consequential damage-free activations, Agent 13 combined with Helicarrier under the same circumstances will skyrocket your economy, The Triskelion will be a cheaper alternative to Avengers Tower and you're definitely want to play around with the good old combo of Rapid Response and Maria Hill and/or Nick Fury.

Oct 01, 2023Anything that drains you of resources or discards your deck is likely to be tough on her - the former during build up and latter in general. Your only ways to search for the key pieces are the one-and-done Player Side Schemes, so bad luck and bad timing can put a dumper on The Plan (TM). That said, BW still gets to do her usual shenanigans of preparations and playing Bucky for free, so she's not completely hamstrung, just worse off for the wear. |
Neat idea! Any real tough matchups you ran into?
