A deck built for d20woodworking to take on the MojoMania scenario pack. (https://www.youtube.com/@D20Woodworking/)

Strategy:

"Banner?! NO! HULK WANT TO SMASH!"

The goal with this deck is very simple. Attack, attack, attack! Use stuns to slow down the villain down while you pummel them into oblivion.

New toys like Ingenuity and Moon Girl? Nope - that's Bruce stuff. Yuck.

Wanna thwart? Don't.

Defending? That's for PUNY WIMPS! Take that damage.

HULK SMAAAAAAAASH!!

Mulligan Priorities:

Other Tips:

  • Try to save Counterattack for a high damage attack, ideally 4+ - but 3 is fine on 1 ATK villains. You can wait for higher, but Hulk? Hulk isn't patient - and, ideally, your games will end fast! Don't miss a win because you left Counterattack unused.

  • Hulk has a high cost curve and small hand size - which is a long way of saying he often ends up with cards he can't play left in hand. Use Plan B, Jarnbjorn, or Machine Man to spend your cards efficiently!

  • Make sure to use any card draw/recursion as early as you can on your turn. If you are planning to use any of the following, do it ASAP: Clobber, Drop Kick, Unstoppable Force, or Bruce Banner's alter-ego ability. This is generally good practice on all heroes but is especially important for Hulk.

  • While built for solo play, if you do want to play this in normal multiplayer? Consider adding in Helicarrier, Unshakable, and Deft Focus. Swap out 2x Counterattack and Jarnbjorn.

Good luck!

We already know Hulk is the second best hero in the game (behind Valk of course) and this deck takes Hulk to another level. So good, great deck. GOATed.

Love it! These Hulk all physical resource decks are all about choices. What made Blade, Lockjaw, Unshakeable and Martial Prowess miss the list?

Thanks! Blade almost made it in the final version and you could swap him for Plan B or Jarnbjorn without noticing much difference. Ultimately this deck was built for damage and Jarnbjorn can be used multiple times and Plan B avoids stun. But Blade being able to block and mix up the timing is also great.

Lockjaw was also originally in the deck but I was never using him. This deck was actually really consistent in my testing.

Martial Prowess doesn't have enough targets, in my opinion. 8 attacks just isn't enough to justify it on a 4-handsize hero when you only want the game to last 2-5 turns anyway.

Similar problem for Unshakable. This deck is intended to win quickly so it's unlikely you'll see much stun - but it is dependent on the villain and I'd definitely bring it for certain scenarios.

(Oops. Blade bypasses stun too, but there's no edit button.)

`@VillainTheory That makes total sense. Thank you for the explanation. I love that we have multiple option for Aggression Solo Hulk.

I played Hulk for the first time yesterday using your list. It was really fun, the game feels so different when you don't care about the main scheme and just focus on attacking the villain.

@Cards-n-Dice Glad you enjoyed it! And yes it does feel so different. I'm not always a huge fan of this style of pure attack ("rush") but I think it works great for Hulk.

@VillainTheory played my first game with this deck against the Hood and it was just silly. 3 turn win, excited to test some more.

I played this deck yesterday, well a version of it because I don’t have all the cards. And I really enjoy it. I beat Rhino and Crossbones both in expert! Not bad for Hulk. The deck is not only funny but it also feels thematic playing Hulk this way. Good job

Nice. I've got a rush deck for Drax and Wolverine, though Wolverine is slightly less rushed. They are fun solo sometimes because I can knock out a game in 15-30 minutes. I'm going to test this one out.

Looks great but can I ask you didn't include any martial prowess?

Jul 24, 2023 VillainTheory · 23534

@supernauut Thanks! So the deck is trying to win in 3 or so turns, which really means in the best case scenario - if you play Martial Prowess on Turn 1 and use it every turn - you only break even on its cost. But as a 4 handsize hero with only 8 attacks in the deck, there's a strong chance he doesn't even draw an attack. And if you don't find it on Turn 1, it's basically never going to earn it's cost back. Plus, with his awkward hand size, there's a high chance you can't play anything else on the same turn you play Martial Prowess which just makes it very slow for our rush-based deck.

Great deck. The Hood was child’s play against Hulk with this build!
