Final installment in the Marvel Champions Monthly "Decked Halls!" week. Enjoy this Spider-Man / The Power of Protection deck great in Multiplayer and okay in solo.
With Great Power comes... a lot of defending and reflecting damage. Use new cards like Preemptive Strike and Energy Barrier to stop the villains damage from reaching you. With Spider-Man sturdy defense you should be able to remain in hero form for a long time. Lots of sources for stunned. Webbed Up Mockingbird and Tackle but you won't get the most bang for Spider-Mans ability if you overstun. The primary source of threat control is Spider-Tracer and staying in hero form to prevent the villain from scheming.

Jan 05, 2020Cool deck, i'm really close to this version of Protection Spider-man. What's your take on Tackle? IMO, it seems a little overcosted (compared to Mockingbird) Also, any reason to skip Nick Fury? |
Jan 05, 2020Hi I think Tackle is a bit overcosted (or over-restircted maybe?) but in solo being able to Stun a villain is super powerful. I like Mockingbirda lot as well but I can only run 1 copy. I mainly wanted to test out new cards and highlight them so I kept it in but the more I play with it the less impressed I am. I did want to have a ton of ways to stun so between Webbed Up Mockingbird and Tackle you should have plenty of stun-power. Skipped Nick Fury just to try out new cards, would probably drop an Endurance for him in a competitive sense. Cheers! |
