Groot - Vigster Cardomatic Universe (VCU)

Note: I build all of my heroes so my decks are optimized only in the sense of the collection - hence the VCU tag. Welcome to the Vigster Cardomatic Universe!

Groot is meant to be the tank for the team. His main deck is focused on getting defence cards out to build up the engine (Nerves of Steel, Unflappable, Flow Like Water, Indomitable) and that enables his 9 Defence cards to be used. As most of his cards are cost 0 or 1, he does not need to generate a lot of points to pay for them. He does have Deft Focus to help his hero specific cards and all his thwarting relies on those given his basic ability of 1.

The card deck is not intended to cycle a lot, so it is important that they key cards be played when they show up in the hand as there will only be 1 of each.

As a damage tank - he may always be exhausted by the time his turn is up, so basic abilities will be seldom used - he just needs to protect the team (especially Rocket Raccoon - to deliver on his value.
