Hawkeye is the true Jack of all trades. He has all the answers for any situation
- Electric Arrow for stun
- Sonic Arrow for confuse
- Vibranium Arrow for tough
- Explosive Arrow for minions
- Cable Arrow for dealing with threat
and of course
- Mockingbird to Backflip every turn
But the problem is, he might not have the right card all the time. So what we need to do here is to build his engine as fast as possible while thinning our deck at the same time. Early game will be focusing on playing those resources generator, The Power in All of Us will help us with this. 4x Power resourses because we really struggle in the early game.
Our Alter-ego form is really not worth it so the plan here is to stay in Hero form all game. While Mockingbird is awsome, she is just 1 out of 40 cards in the deck so before we can build her engine we need something to block for the damage, low-cost blocker are there for us. Maria Hill is almost a 2-card remove 2 threat and a free block. Recycle her with Make the Call and Rapid Response. Ant-Man can be a mini Stinger 2-card for a block or a 3-card solid ally with 2/2/2 or even a Giant-Man without the passive. A flexible card for a flexible hero, what could go wrong. Speaking of flexible we also have Nick Fury, comboing with Rapid Response for maximum value. No The Triskelion, Strength In Numbers, Team Training or Avengers Assemble! because we cannot take the damage for long, the allies has to do that job for us. In the late game those are just overkill, we already have everything we need after your building our engine. I don't think Hawkeye and Wonder Man are worth it because we don't have much resource to spend and our hero doesn't seem to have problem with attacking, just lacking some thwart.
After you have your engine going, you will have a free arrow every turn with 2 Expert Marksman. Hawkeye's Quiver is almost a 1 cost +1 hand size after thinning your deck. Using Quincarrier for Mockingbird then bring her back with Avengers Tower and Team-Building Exercise, just 1 more resource for dodging an attack every turn. Earth's Mightiest Heroes is there if you are in the late game and want to shoot 3 arrows at once.
Probably the least famous hero in the original 6 avengers, being forgotten in the MCU and maybe even in this game. A mere human among gods, no hammer, no flying armor, no serum, no gamma radiation, just rellying on his bow and arrows. That's why he is my favorite hero, and I would like to give him some attention he deserved.

Jun 15, 2021Any reason why you dont play Ironheart in this build? |
Jun 15, 2021Avengers Tower and Team building are mostly for Mockingbird spam, not the slot (well maybe the slot can come in handy late game). And because those two only support Avenger trait, I don't want to play too much non-Avenger ally. I think 2 is enough, comparing Ironheart to Maria Hill of course I would use Make the Call on Hill for 1 more THW. |
Great deck! I love Hawkeye and it's nice to see some love for him. How helpful is Avenger's Tower for you? it doesn't seem like you need the fourth ally slot and it only helps with four allies.
