The Doctor will see you now...

My attempt at a healing-focus Dr. Strange build. I started with all the medical-themed cards I could find (e.g., The Night Nurse, Dr. Sinclair, Med Team, First Aid, and Render Medical Aid), and built out from there. Included three copies of Endurance and Defensive Conditioning to play on teammates.

While the allies aren't exactly thematic, their abilities are pretty helpful. Black Widow can cancel and re-draw any particularly brutal encounter cards, while Northstar can protect the team from nasty boost card draws.

Possible Subsitutions:

  • Basic Spell: I like that First Aid can also heal allies, but Basic Spell adds more versatility (for only one more cost... but less medical-theme).
  • Subdue: considering First Aid is 2 effective resources for 2 health and Subdue is up to a reduction of 3 damage for the same cost, this is a solid alternative as a preventative measure. However, First Aid gets additional points for theme.
  • Additional copies of Med Team or Second Wind.

Great deck title!

I tried a similar thing: marvelcdb.com

Seemed like I needed to use Second Wind on Strange a lot since he doesn’t have defense and tough status cards weren’t enough with multiple activation villains + minions. Will definitely need to add Shield Spell.

Thanks @eroush! And thanks for linking out to your deck. Jarvis is a neat idea I didn't think about, but might have to tinker around with.

@TheJoggernaut you’re welcome. Maybe just sideboard Jarvis. He’s more valuable if the other heroes at the table are Avengers; not as good as Dr Sinclair but he doesn’t require spending a resource.
