The Hercules pack brought a lot of new and returning toys to Avengers leadership and there's one character that I think of when I think of "leader of the Avengers" and that's Steve Rogers, aka ...

The goal of this deck is to build an incredible economy that will help you get out your expensive Avengers allies and then keep them on the table for as long as possible, while still cycling them out with other Avenger allies with beefy stats.

On the economy side, Cap comes with his two resource generators but we're also adding Quincarrier and Avengers Tower so that you'll usually have a card to ready Cap. Quinjet and Avengers Compound are great cards to exhaust for your Organizational Support to help pay for these things (sometimes Wonder Man will also help with some logistical support).

As you get your engine going, it's time to start dropping some expensive allies. Teamwork and Iron Lad will help you use the incredible stats of Thor or Giant-Man (or whoever) without suffering consequential damage or Thor's Forced Response after thwarting. You're going to boost those stats even further with Mighty Avengers so that when you thwart with Thor using either Iron Lad or Teamwork, you'll hit 6 thwart which is a great number in 2-player where this deck was tested.

Ronin with Avenge Me is an incredible combination. I usually try to avoid blocking with that mysterious stranger because the (hopefully) that last activation is worth 3 thwart or 4 attack and 2 cards.

Ultimately, this deck is great at flexing into damage or control as you need it. Bonus points if you can win with Cap and Thor using Teamwork to hit for 6.

Nice! I haven’t messed around with the Thor leadership ally yet, this gives me a few ideas…
