At first glance this looks like a run-of-the-mill Storm Leadership deck. There's Make the Call, Utopia, Mission Leader, Rapid Response and Med Lab. In reality, you are secretly Lucy not letting Charlie Brown (the other players) kick the football (win).

Here are the way you can give some good grief:

  • Put out Mission Leader, Jarvis and Utopia. You want to appear helpful at first.
  • Start out by just not exhausting Mission Leader when a side scheme is defeated. Maybe play dumb like you didn't realize it or weren't paying attention.
  • Use Call for Aid to get yourself an extra encounter card. Oops, you don't have an Avenger ally.
  • Put Venom out but don't use his response in the villain phase, and don't have him attack in the hero phase. He's just an extra encounter card for the table every round. Yea!
  • Use Make the Call and your Rapid Responses to get the Star-Lord ally and his extra encounter card out as much as possible. You can even Med Lab him back in. Sit yourself comfortably in AE so you're safe at least.
  • White Queen away hero toughs and villain stuns and confuses.
  • Jarvis away that well-earned tough status card when the Avenger hero reluctantly flips down knowing what you're about to do.
  • First Aid villains and minions.
  • Make sure Gambit has a 0 boost card under him (if he has to have a 1 boost just let him die). Then have him attack or thwart for 0. Take your time decided where this all-important 0 damage should go. Then when White Queen comes back to the table, use Utopia to ready Gambit. More 0 damage! This may annoy the table more than the outright griefing.
  • You're Storm. Use the weather against them. Is Drax ready to attack a bunch of times? Good! Switch to Hurricane or Blizzard. Did Colossus just stun and confuse the villain? Clear Skies it is! Are you facing a high attack villain with the possibility of overkill? There's Thunderstorms a brewing at the end of the hero phase!.
  • You've got Mutant Education and you'll be parked safely in AE most of the game, but when you do flip up, Weather Goddess into a great card for them like Thunderstorm. Then immediately use Storm's hero power to change it to Hurricane.

Have fun CoH-goers! Let me know in the comments if you were able to give anyone some good grief.

Studied from a certain angle, this is a great write up on how not to play at a convention. Well done!

@eroush Oh, definitely! You'd only want to do this with people you know would get the joke and be okay with it. Haha
