ANGRY BIRDS ASSEMBLE!!!
https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/60945/angry-birds-strategy-guide-1.0
Heroic Skeleton's Deck, Angry Birds Strategy Guide, was a really cool idea with using Falcon alongside Firepower. Personally, I really enjoy and love playing Falcon, but as a college student on a budget I don't have a whole lot of cards in my collection unlike Heroic Skeleton.
So... I wanted to try Falcon in a different aspect, (other than leadership), and while using Fire Power with what's in my available collection. In doing so, having an Avengers synergy was the best I have to work with; using Allies, Firepower and Earth's Mightiest Heroes as a main focus here to combo with several components in this deck.
Assemble the Birds:
I get that it's 43 cards, but I like to exchange cards out to get back down to 40 depending on (1) the scenario I'm facing, and (2), the need for a resource with Quincarrier depending on which allies you choose. Idk why, but I get extremely butt hurt when it's not 40 cards flat, so I try to get it down as close as I can depending on this
Blade, Valkyrie, and Wasp are the only allies that care about the kind of resource you use for them, and Wasp is the only one of the 3 that really cares about having Falcon's Flock, but can't have Avengers Tower work with her. Having Quincarrier is great for scenarios that need to discard villain attachments as another factor as well, so having it versus Avengers Tower isn't a terrible trade off.
Sentry is a really fun ally once you get him into play, even though you have to take an encounter card. Aerial Recon helps to mitigate what you get, but rather than having a "pick your poison" kind of situation, having 5 HP on an ally is fantastic for Sidearm to be put on him, and used with Firepower. In some situations I might add 3 copies of Sidearm, but it normally depends on the scenario. She-Hulk is kinda(?) on the same boat with 4 HP, but isn't a go-to ally I tend to take. Sidearm is always nice to get on her for increased basic attacks, but I find thwarting just isn't as realistic with her most times.
Earth's Mightiest Bird:
No, not "Turd" you Falcon haters out there (lol)
Earth's Mightiest Heroes is such a great card for Falcon!!! I've used it a lot with him in Leadership synergies that work well with cheap avenger allies, since there are two main uses for it.
(1) With Vibranium Microweave and Soaring Acrobatics, Falcon can pretty much swing a basic defense of 5, and however much more from Battlefield Awareness. Having Earth's Mightiest Heroes allows you to choose a bit more between chump-blocking with an ally versus using a basic defense against the villain each turn. Expert villains sometimes just suck to defend against, but others not as much thankfully; having this alongside allies to chump block help to catch any Assault kind of treacheries the villain throws at you.
(2) Being able to basic attack with Soaring Acrobatics, alongside swinging with Hand Cannon feels EXTREMELY satisfying. You can be flexible to the need of thwarting, attacking minions, or getting a licking on the villain with this too. If you chump block with an ally but still are able to have another ally in play, getting to ready Falcon twice feels great with using Soaring Acrobatics or Battlefield Awareness to thwart, and then popping a 4 basic attack with Hand Cannon after readying.
With this I considered having Combat Training, (or Aggressive Conditioning if you have that), but it just didn't combo as well with Firepower. Plus, I mean like, having 2 Hand Cannons out and a bunch of Pulse Grenades, swinging for a 7-9 basic attack just feels like a surge of hype, raw energy. Feels like a diet-coke of I can do this all day.
Conclusion:
Does anyone else feel extremely butt-hurt about not having 40 cards in their decks? Sometimes 41 or 42 is ok, but like 40 just feels different.
