Thanks to CastleFrank47 for some help with the final cards!

Tomb Raider

An archeologist by trade, Barbara Minerva made a mistake when she unearthed the wrong tomb. Now as the Cheetah, she is cursed to consume human flesh to stave off pain. While it might seem thematic to defeat enemies, she doesn't get all that much for defeating them.

  • Keeping minions in play allows for higher resource generation with Cat's Head Amulet
  • Tooth and Claw can become a free card with enough minions in play, allowing you to deal 8 damage to the villain if all guard minions have Hunted attached
  • Precinct HQ can let you clear a scheme for 4 or 5 threat regularly with minions out, allowing for strong burst threat options
  • Hunted readies Cheetah regardless of who defeats the minion, so an attack and ready type approach with Sharp Claws doesn't make sense in every aspect

The only way to make the most value out of Cheetah's cards is to grab minions and do everything in our power to keep them engaged with us for as long as possible.

Identity Theft (Deck Strategy)

Cheetah has graduated from stealing artifacts to identities. Now she's looking to make more of a mess, working fast to defeat the villain.

In this deck, we're adding even more chaos to Cheetah's playstyle by revealing side schemes and defeating them in a "rush justice" deck, perfect for the new PvP mode. The side scheme package here accelerates setup, allowing for recursion of powerful allies and opening up big attack opportunities.

Here, Cheetah will mostly defend to help with her survivability, flipping regularly with some villain confuse options to recover after minion attacks and cycle Hunted when needed. There are a lot of options to stop minion activations to take advantage of On the Hunt and Tooth and Claw without needing to defeat minions, instead ignoring guard minions and directing big attacks to the villain.

Skeleton Crew

A heist only works with a good crew. Everyone here fills a specific need, and Chance Encounter brings them out exactly when they'll help most.

  • Cypher finds a way to get even more cards, almost guaranteed to draw cards from confused enemies from the 4 other cards that can confuse enemies
  • Dazzler is the most expensive crew member, good for a resource dump if you have a Cat's Head Amulet that needs spending, especially useful when you want to flip
  • Eros lets us sneak away from the villain, securing a flip down and keeping minions in play by confusing 2 at a time.
    • No resources? Use Quincarrier and the copy of Hunted from Undercover Work on the flip down
  • Machine Man wants extra money on each step of the way. With Cat's Head Amulet, we can afford it. For 4 ATK/THW, we're getting our money's worth
  • Vivian helps minions forget what they'll do when defeated and does the same for any of the villain's side schemes, perfect for ignoring bad effects

Fast and Loose

Cheetah is a villain first. She's here to cause a lot of problems, but she's not used to solving them.

Leaving a minion in play makes most of our cards stronger, but can come at a cost. We have multiple ways to stop activations.

  • Cat-Like Reflexes confuses minions after preventing damage. Use it to avoid big minion attacks if needed, essentially working as a stun and confuse
  • Dazzler, Eros, and Moon Knight can all confuse minions when entering play and are recurred easily with Chance Encounter
  • Feline Senses stuns a minion on clearing a side scheme, working well with the strategy and benefiting from Operative Skill to hit the kicker
  • Hunted and Moon Knight both stun minions on entering play. Make the most of their value by playing them in AE to avoid quickstrike
  • Non-Elite Minions without status can have their text box blanked with Vivian or you can use Take Out the Guards to discard them entirely
    • All of the minions in Cheetah's nemesis set are non-Elite, so they all can be dealt with easily in this way!

With minions in play, you've got strong burst threat removal (not a thwart) with Precinct HQ and a 3 resource generator to pay for expensive events like Concussive Blow. Keep bringing out side schemes and defeating them to Waylay at the villain and play Tooth and Claw for cheap, ignoring any guard minions thanks to Hunted.

Left in the Dust

Cheetah can't take everything. Some treasure has to be left behind.

You can make a good number of substitutions here, but I wouldn't recommend going higher in card count.

  • Avengers Mansion is easily affordable with Cat's Head Amulet, but felt sort of like a "win more" card with all the built in card draw
  • Build Support and Superpower Training are strong side schemes for heroes that struggle to get expensive cards into play. Cheetah is not one of those heroes
  • Clear the Area and Multitasking are cards that can work with this strategy, but the reliability of For Justice! to fully clear a side scheme was ultimately a better decision and worked with The Power of Justice
  • Deft Focus is always a consideration with superpower cards are involved, but with only 7 targets and Tooth and Claw's potential to be free, it just wasn't worth it
  • Justice Served offers a nice on-board ready that works with defeating side schemes, but all of my readies were typically used for defending/healing and there wasn't much of an impact
  • Spider-Woman felt like a natural fit in this deck with the sheer number of confused enemies, but even for free she just wasn't hitting very hard. Every other ally outclassed, but she could find a spot here

Stealing the Show

Having a board state turn 1 with your nemesis, an extra side scheme and 2 additional minions adds so much chaos to the game upfront, and it's a blast every time. Finding a spot for Waylay has been a challenge for me, and I'm happy to say that it works here!
