This is a multiplayer deck my friend plays. I hadn't looked into that much what he plays in it but as I posted my own deck, I figured I should post what the companion deck is like.
So, my friend has been playing this deck through most of the Marvel Champions campaigns, with the exception of Age of Apocalypse where he played a leadership X-23 (he only plays leadership).
The way he plays the deck is focusing first on building the tableau, thwarting where needed etc. and biding his time until it's time to strike. He pretty much never plays the Captain America's Shield and prefers to use that as a resource instead to get the engine going. I think in all our games, he's played the Shield maybe three times.
After one deck pass, this deck is usually going pretty strong with plenty of allies on the table and they having extra health from Team Training and Mighty Avengers, which is the cornerstone of the deck (I guess, since there's two of them.).
As a multiplayer deck, this deck is really strong. There are some villains it's weaker against but otherwise it's really powerful. Its weakness is that it's somewhat slow to build the engine necessary for it to function. And this deck likes to flip a lot to alter-ego to take advantage of Steve Rogers and Steve's Apartment meaning, the other hero should be ready to stay in hero form lest the villain scheme multiple times.
Some notes on card choices:
- Mission Leader is really nice way to add some extra resource generation. Most encounters have a side scheme. And then there are player side schemes.
- This deck could do with Build Support since it's very support heavy.
- Honorary Avenger is a leftover card from the Next Evolution campaign where we had to protect Hope Summers and she ruined the all-avenger team. In the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. campaign one of the Rescued Captives became an Honorary Avenger and participated in beating the boss. But that card will probably change to something else.
EDIT: Oops. It turned out my friend had already published the deck. I marked this deck as derivation of that.
