Colossus is one of my favorite heroes to play and one of the most enjoyable ways to play him is goading the bad guys into attacking him. This deck is all about dealing damage and in 2P can also provide quite a bit of stuns to keep your teammates from being attacked. Very little setup is required for this deck to get going. Iron Will is the main card needed to profit from our toughs.
Steel Toe Strats:
Toe to Toe is a card that i haven't seen used much with him and is the main focus of this deck which works incredibly well with him.
With the 4 hand size we want cheaper events and toe to toe is only a cost of 1. Martial Prowess or Titanium Muscles can pay for it. Another option is Aggressive Energy which also bumps the damage up to 6.
This is really nice for clearing minions and not having to waste a basic activation or one of our status inducing events like Steel Fist or Drop Kick.
It feels incredibly nice to finish off his nemesis Juggernaut going Toe to Toe.
Iron Will then refunds you a card. Playing toe to toe when you have 2 toughs out is a really beneficial play. Knock one off and draw from Iron Will, use Bulletproof Protector to then get a 2nd tough and another card draw.
You can also combine Toe to Toe with Organic Steel when you only have 1 tough to ensure you keep one on him.
Another great option is to use it to knock off your last tough before flipping down. Shuffle back in Armor Up, Organic or BP.
If you have Armor Up and want to prevent the scheme play it and draw from Moira MacTaggert to have a 7 card hand after drawing from Iron Will.
Rest of the kit:
The other attack events are Clobber which is really nice when it's the first card played as it bounces back and we can up the damage with Aggressive Energy.
Drop Kick deals 4 damage and if you pay with all resources you stun the enemy as well as draw a card. Titanium Muscles can provide up to 2 resources and Martial Prowess brings another. Aggressive Energy bumps the damage to 5 on it and adds a resource.
Combine Drop Kick and Steel Fist to have status on the villain. This really helps your teammates in 2p or even in solo. Stun them for the villain phase then use toe to toe during your turn and recoup toughs.
Combat Training bumps up Colos attack and with his Titanium Muscles he'll be sitting at 4 base attack. This makes clearing Keep Them Busy extremely easy for him when emergency thwarting is needed.
Combine with Limitless Stamina and Colo hits like a train even with basic activations. Deft Focus can pay for Limitless as well as Steel Fist.
Very few allies in the deck and they are here mainly to thwart.
Professor X needs no introduction but he can get us some thwart and typically a confuse. Against steadywart he can ready Colo instead for another attack.
White Queen can get rid of a stun or confuse on Colo as well as an ally if need he. Provides solid thwart also
Hope Summers is expensive but can grab a superpower which is most of Colo's kit. Early game she can find our key upgrades like Iron will and mid to late game she can grab Bulletproof Protector, Limitless or Steel Fist.
I've really enjoyed this deck and it has performed extremely well in both solo and 2p.
I'd love to hear any feedback or experiences with it!
