"I bet I'm the first Angel who had to break into heaven!"
—Warren Worthington III, Champions Vol 1 3

Angel

This deck was built for episode 70 of The Winning Hand podcast to make use of the card of the day: Air Supremacy.

Air Supremacy wants allies to stay out as much as possible, so I've comboed that with Strength In Numbers and Band Together to make use of the allies in different ways. Exhaust them with Strength In Numbers to draw a big hand of cards. Clear the board of minions and hit the villain with Air Supremacy. Pay for expensive cards with Band Together.

It takes a bit of setup to pull this together, but once the ball gets rolling, you'll be unstoppable with a huge hand of cards and tons of money to play whatever you want.

The Triskelion and Flight Squadron give you up to 5 ally slots, and there are 6 aerial allies in the deck, so you can still chump block or attack/thwart to cycle them out as needed. You'll draw enough cards with enough money to keep them coming back pretty frequently.

Cloud 9 and Aero can boost your team's stats if you're not using them to draw cards. Along with Soaring Acrobatics, you can thwart for 4 as Angel or hit for 4 as Archangel, and Cannonball becomes a 3/3 with no consequential while you have Aerial cards in hand.

This deck works best in multiplayer where there are plenty of minions to hit and a big villain health pool, but it is versatile enough to work in solo as long as you're against a scenario that allows you a bit of setup time.

Mulligan Priorities: Two allies, or an ally and Flight Squadron or Triskelion

What a fun deck! I just put together an Angel deck that uses many of the same cards. Going to try this one out :)

I'm a sucker for an Aerial Leadership deck. Everything looks solid here!
