System of a Down once sang about Aerials; with that hitting my ear holes on my iPod (yes, I still own an iPod. I’m 43, don’t judge me. Ok, fine, you can a little) and with Angel’s hero pack arriving in the post today, it seemed fitting to have a bash at a deck. Looking through whilst sat with my son, Aggression immediately sprang to mind but I think other aspects will be fun too.

We need plenty of aerial cards, of course, so starting with allies, I’ve gone for what looks to be handy across the board, Cannonball in particular looks very useful.

Onto events where Bombs Away, Dive Bomb and Pitchback speak for themselves. That’s pretty much all you need mixed in with Angel’s inherent cards.

Avian Anatomy and The Power of Flight are very handy resources for keeping costs down.

I think the Supports are where this deck comes alive. Children of the Atom, with the exception of Vivian, allows Attack Training on all allies Boot Camp to boost them further. With many aerial cards, Team-Building Exercise feels like a must-have, with Crew Quarters and Moira MacTaggert doing their jobs nicely.

Throw in Combat Training and Soaring Acrobatics for extra smashy-smashy, Martial Prowess for more resources and Endurance because I can’t build a deck without it.

Yes, 43 cards, I know, I know. You could probably lose a resource card or two to be fair and a Support, but until I get around to playing with this one, on the face of it, it looks fun!
