Ingredients:
- Alter-ego action Neena Thurman which here means:
- Action: Choose a card in your hand. Swap that card with a triple-resource card.
- Triple-resource cards:
Instructions:
Turn the dial to 9/9 or 12/12 (Endurance) Hit Points unless the resource being returned is Jackpot! This is to ensure the pool resources are not merely double.
To do this, you'll be using cards such as:
Mix the Ingredients and start cookin'! To make the resource management consistent, make the final card that you play before using the ability to be either an Ally, Support, or Upgrade (or PSS) because game state after playing one of these types of cards is that the top card of the player discard is the resource(s) spent to play the card, in the order you choose.
Order matters because you could discard a Mulligan and Self Confidence to play Avengers Mansion and you want the Mulligan below the top because Nenna's ability only swaps a card in hand with the top card.
Leftovers and Recursion Fusion If you returned a resource to hand after playing Nick Fury or Professor X, you can choose to keep it in hand until the next turn. If Domino is on Hero side until next turn, then the triple resource being saved can even be swapped with the top card of the deck to really save it for later. Either way, on the next turn when Nick or Professor will be the top card of your discard at the end of your turn, when in Alter-ego you could use Neena's ability to return the high-value card to hand rather than the triple resource itself.
Weird cards that were included anyway:
We have consistent resources locked down, but if the cards in hand are either lower value or conditionally less useful, we can always put the triple resource towards playing this Ally from our discard.
These are for shortening the length of the game by 3-4 rounds during the final phase. The Live Dangerously will definitely come out no sooner than the second time through the deck. The Laser Swords can come out early as they free up the use of Domino's Pistol as wild resources and it still gains value from villain side schemes, attachments, and/or minions with the "bad stuff" icons.
This is often not my go-to card for making a deck more consistent in the early turns of the game, but given the already out-of-pocketness of this build compared to what I usually run, I figured I would try it on for size.
That sums up the thoughts behind the deck. Thank you for reading, and please leave a comment especially if you love or hate 'Pool decks!
