4-Pack Challenge (up to 4 packs outside of the Core Set): Storm, Gambit, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Core Set

VILLAINS TESTED AGAINST (in standard and expert): Klaw and then each of the villains from the Age of Apocalypse (not in campaign mode), which includes Unus, Four Horsemen, Apocalypse; Dark Beast, and Apocalypse (as En Sabah Nur, with the 3-sided villain cards).

To be honest, I didn't know how this would go since this was my first time facing any of the villains from Age of Apocalypse, but Justice Nightcrawler handled it well overall.

SOME SPECIFIC VILLAIN NOTES (for the more challenging villains for this deck):

-Four Horsemen: Since these guys eat Upgrades and Supports for breakfast, I mostly only played an upgrade or support if it were particularly convenient. That said, a person might want to either add some more allies to replace the upgrades and supports and/or the Basic attack/thwart cards Multitalented or Hit and Run.

-Apocalypse (first time encountered): It generally worked well to prepare for each prelate and not just take on one after the other. I didn't have to defeat every one of them the round they came out, but I lost when I didn't build out enough between Prelate minions. It's also important to keep Gene Pool relatively low throughout the battle -- always below six but below 3 when possible.

General Notes: Age of Apocalypse has a number of villain encounters that make you pay for blocking with your allies, and Nightcrawler is particularly well suited for this since he wants to block. This deck has a decent amount of thwarting between For Justice! and Nightcrawler's own Scout Ahead, which often helped to set up Waylay, especially when a resource card was in hand. While it was ideal to attack the villain with a fully powered Waylay that dealt 7 damage, very often 4 damage was just what was needed to take down a pesky villain, or, of course, combinations of Nightcrawler's own attack cards, 'Port and Punch and Teleport Drop. With this Justice deck, Nightcrawler was able to deal fairly consistent damage to the villain throughout, while dropping some large damage to finish the job at the end.
