I have been waiting for Magik to come to this game for quite some time and man she doesnt disappoint. The whole premise of this deck is to manipulate the top card of your deck to do a multitude of things and then decimate the villain.Magik is going to use her sorcery to wage war.

Mulligan Priorities: Limbo Symbiote Suit Soulsword War Mystical Armor

Limbo: The most important step is getting Limbo out as this allows you to swap a card in your hand with the top card of your deck PER PHASE. This comes in handy to run War. As you can swap something like 'Pool Inspection, da bomb or other high cost cards to the top of your deck and do massive damage. This is also relevant to run her upgrades to get the maximum benefits. Her Soulsword get +1 attack based in the icon on top of your deck. Her Magik's Crown gets +1 thwart based on the icon and her Mystical Armor get +1 Defense based on the icons on top. Mostly we are going to be using this for the Soulsword but it's a great option to be able to swap what you need at will. Legion also reaps the benefits based on what you discard after he uses a power. If you have a mental resource he removes 2 threat, a fist resource heals 2 damage from him and an energy resource deals 2 damage to an enemy. I try to make sure there is a fist resource on his second use to ensure he doesn't get knocked out by consequential damage.

Card Draw: In this deck I routinely get up to 7 hand size with The Sorcerer Supreme and Symbiote Suit out. On top of that Avengers Mansion is another card draw and Rock, Paper, Scissors is basically free draw as you can see what the top card of your deck is and select something in your hand to grab it. Spiritual Meditation allows you to cycle the deck faster and get to the cards you need. Nick Fury is also in here to be a reource for war and hes great for card draw to get set up. Between all the card draw , Scrying and Spiritual Meditation I have had turns where I have gone through most of the deck.

Healing Factor is in here to offset damage taken from war and allow you to get full use of the 'Pool resources. Stepford Cuckoos is in here to allow us to get rid of treacheries from the extra encounter cards and this has saved me a few times. Directed Force is in here to add on to maximize her basic attacks once you have the Soulsword out. Professor X is in here not only for his thwart and to take a punch but he can ready Magik or you can use him to confuse the villain if need be.

The pool allies are in here to use as an engine for war with their high cost but Negasonic Teenage Warhead can be useful to stop treacheries as well. War Machine is in here to provide a tough to keep you from getting hit and he's also great for war as he can hit for 4 on the villain.

Fully set up, Magik is running at 3 Attack(4 if the top card of the deck is a fist) with piercing, a hand size of 7 and 20 hit points with the Symbiote Suit. I've been able to run through the scenarios I've played against so far with minimal resistance. She also has readies in her kit in the form of Stepping Disc which allows her to have massive turns of damage without the need for events. Any feedback would be appreciated! Hope you enjoy!

Really cool deck! Love the crazy hand size with Sorcerer Supreme + Symbiote Suit + Magik's economy with Limbo. I had one thought about the 'Pool resources and if you're able to stay at full HP to keep them at triples. Any thoughts on Basic Spell or Tic-Tac-Toe to manage HP? If you find her survivability sufficient enough to stay healthy then it won't be necessary! You might have to swap something out which may be difficult but that would be my suggestion at a first glance.

@Web-Warrior Fanatic the pool resources could definitely be switched out. I had toyed with the idea of Stick-To-Itiveness and Bloodgem working in tandem for extra readies but haven't tried it. Tic-Tac-Toe could be added to that as well. I might give that a shot and see how it goes. I haven't had issues (yet) with survivability for her especially with Healing Factor out. The beauty of Magik deck is that even if you do start losing some health, her kit is very inexpensive. I really appreciate the suggestion, I'll let you know how it goes!

Great idea, I had tried something similar with War in Domino, and it was ok, but should be way better with Magik. Build looks good!

I'm not sure you actually need Symbiote Suit here though, were the extra encounter cards a problem? You already have 6 hero hand size with Sorcerer Supreme plus the top card of the deck. Without it you should be able to stay near full health easier.

You could probably throw in Cosmo with Sidearm too. Would help to cycle through the deck and get the resource you want. Get in Front of Me! would be great, you can swap it to the top of the deck for the villain phase and play it for free. If you need to make space Directed Force is probably not essential.

@ChocoboBai I really appreciate the feedback. I haven't tried Cosmo with her yet but that would work really well. Neither Symbiote Suit or Directed Force are essential but they were put in just to accelerate her damage and end the game quicker. I didn't have a lot of problems with the extra encounter cards but it definitely can become an issue. Stepford Cuckoos was also prioritized against villains with tougher encounter cards. I'm definitely going to give the cosmo and Sidearm combo a shot in here. Thanks again!

@ChocoboBai I finally got around to playing this with your suggestions. I took out Symbiote Suit and Directed Force as well as the pool allies, avengers Mansion and the stepford cuckoos. The cuckoos was only in for the extra encounter cards so it wasn't relevant anymore. I swapped in Cosmo and Sidearm like you suggested and then also Stick-To-Itiveness Storm [The X-Jet](/card/36023 Plot Convenience and Tic-Tac-Toe. Storm can be played for 3 from the top of the deck and she's a good target for war. Stick-To-Itiveness and The X-Jet work together for an extra ready which is awesome. Cosmo with Sidearm is reliable damage. The deck feels more viable and less volatile after the changes. The first couple play through were a breeze. I reallly appreciate the suggestions!

@Web-Warrior Fanatic I finally got around to playing this with your suggestions. I did attempt to take out the pool resources but I had trouble getting the essentials on the board as they can be costly which led to mid and endgame being more of a struggle. I did however make some changes to the deck based on some other suggestions and I feel it's much stronger now. I did add in Tic-Tac-Toe for more healing power and that has been a benefit. I really appreciate the suggestions!
