Update: I published a more streamlined version of this loop deck here: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/37040/infinite-drax-2-0-3-card-loop-3.0

I love infinite loop decks. Whether it's Kennedy Hawk's Ant-Man combo deck or my own Nebula No Quarter Loop, the satisfaction of not only doing a one turn OTK, but of going on forever (if you didn't run out of face down encounter cards) is exhilarating. This is a 3 to 4 player deck.

With Taunt, Drax can go to infinity and beyond, too. With villains like Green Goblin or Kang, you could do over 1000 damage. Want to know how?

Here's how to set up the infinite sequence:

  • 1. - Put out every ally, upgrade and support. Because of Taunt, this will only take 4 to 7 turns. Use it every time it comes out unless it will kill you. Drax will have a max of 27 to 29 HP, 7 attack, and a retaliate of 2 once all cards are out.

  • 2. - After everything is on the board, you'll start your final turn with a 16 card deck size and a 6 card hand size.

  • 3. - Ideally you'll start with a fresh deck, but you don't have to. With Combat Specialist, DWI Theet Mastery, Gamora, Unflappable and Leading Blow, we have a lot of ways to draw cards without playing Taunt or "Fight Me, Coward!" yet. Start with a combination of Gamora and attacking with Drax. That will draw 3 cards giving you 9 in hand and an exhausted Drax.

  • 4. - At this point, Repurpose is probably out. If it is, play it. It'll put itself and Energy Barrier in your discard pile. With it, Drax's attack is now 9. If you have Taunt and Parry in hand, play Taunt with Helicarrier. Parry will trigger Unflappable. Giving you 5 more cards, and 4 cards in your discard pile. 2 left in your deck.

  • 5. - If you have both Leading Blows out, play them to deck out. If not, use a "Fight Me, Coward!", to draw the last 2 cards of the deck. You will have a Parry and two Taunts in your hand.

  • 6. - Pay for Taunt's cost with Intimidation. Play a Parry (4 damage) and Payback (9 damage). You draw 4 cards. Now, you either have 1 or 2 cards left in your deck. If you have a Leading Blow and one card left, play it (5 to 9 damage). If you have two cards, play "Fight Me, Coward!" (4 damage). Either way, you'll deck out with only 5 cards total in your deck, and with Taunt and Parry in your hand.

  • 7. - Now, the fun part. Use Intimidation to pay for Taunt, then use Parry (4 damage from retaliate 2 + Flow Like Water + Electrostatic Armor) then use Payback for 9 damage. Draw 4 cards. You will have 1 card left in your deck. Play Leading Blow (usually 7 to 9 damage) to deck out and draw an encounter card. 20 damage a loop.

  • 8. - Do Step 7 over and over again until you run out of facedown encounter cards. For Kang and Mutagen Formula, that's well over 50 cards. 50 X 20 = 1000. Not bad, right?

Tips for doing even more damage:

If anyone wants to make a video of this OTK sequence, I'd be forever grateful!

This is a genius combo! Mad props for setting up the ultimate destruction with the Destroyer. I can’t wait to do this at my next 3+ player game

This is what hulk should have been

In Step 7, you mean "from retaliate 2 + Flow Like Water + Electrostatic Armor" correct? Not Dauntless (which is how you get to retaliate 2)?

@andyr Thank you! It's a lot of fun. I highly advise setting up Drax with all of the upgrades, supports and allies out, and getting a feel for the procedure.

@Pots Agreed! Hulk really needed a power that could built on like Drax's counters and DWI Theet Mastery.

@teamcanadahockey2002 Yes, yes I did. Good catch. I'm sure it's not the only mistake I made. Haha.

@InigoMontoya I have been wanting to put together a drax/ Taunt deck and never did. Can't wait to give this a shot!

Love a good Drax deck and this is so interesting! I wonder if it's worth playing alongside Astrodar's Captain Marvel Web-Warrior deck to fuel Drax and accelerate the setup with her card draw? I was also thinking about the +1 ATK upgrade Doctor Strange can play on other heroes.

Hope to find time to try it soon!

On step 2, you say you have a 16 deck size and 6 cards in hand, from where is the 6th card from? Hand Size 4 + Symb Suit 1 = 5 ??

@Castlefrank47 Let me know how it goes!

@VillainTheory I think any hero deck that can give him card draw and + to attack is a great pairing. That Captain Marvel Web Warrior would accelerate things beautifully.

@Lemonshrimp I'm counting the villain attack from the previous round that gives Drax a card as the 6th card.

I'm gonna be publishing a more streamlined and easier version of this loop. Hopefully by tomorrow.
