Inspired by Gwen's own precon, this is a multiplayer Protection deck that flies in the face of the idea that Protection's job is to just face-tank hits for the whole team.
DISCLAIMER: This deck assumes a second player playing a Justice Web-Warrior with Web of Life and Destiny, Across the Spider-Verse and 3-4 Web-Warrior allies!!!
This deck's central idea is to use Bait and Switch and Return the Favor to goad the Villain to attack or try to play a treachery against you, only to foil said attempts with cards like Pirouette and Punch, Spider-Tingle, Jump Flip and Ghost-Spider's own DEF, while reaping the benefits.
As for actually protecting your teammates, Gwen's no slouch either! Thwip! Thwip! the Villain and the most imposing Minion, use your own DEF to cover yourself or a third player, using a Response or Interrupt to ready yourself for yet another possible defense. If the Villain gets lucky, there's always a gang of Web-Warrior allies to chump block for you. Lastly, for those turns where you've pushed your body to the limit defending your allies, remember the old idiom: "What Doesn't Kill Me..."
